Thank you, Governor, 3rd generation Floridian here. I've never seen this move so quickly after a major storm. You've earned you place to run in 2028. God Bless...
Great job governor. Glad we have someone like you spending your valuable time helping others and keeping us all informed on all operations for the state of Florida …
I certainly don’t agree with all of DeSantis’s policies however, I will give him props for handling the evacuations & emergencies due to Helene & Milton amazingly! 👏🏼 Thank you to him, this whole team, our linemen&women, & President Biden (100% funding for the debris removal lasting 90 days is monumental)👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Way to keep your citizens people safe within your humanly powers & prioritizing helping the people of Florida 🥹 Our hearts are with everyone effected, dealing with tragic losses, and those who lost their loved ones 🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️
I honestly don’t know where to begin. The hurricane wiped out almost everything I had. My house is barely standing, and I don’t even know if my insurance will cover it all. My family and I are safe, but... how do you start rebuilding from this?
John, I’m so sorry to hear about what you’re going through. Have you been able to get in touch with any disaster relief services yet? FEMA and the Red Cross have been setting up stations to help people with immediate needs, but I know it’s overwhelming right now.
I’ve been in touch with my financial advisor, Desiree Ruth Hoffman. She’s been incredibly helpful in navigating these kinds of disasters, especially when it comes to restructuring my financial plan and understanding what resources are available. John, if you haven’t already, I would suggest talking to a financial professional. They can help you take stock of what you have, what needs to be rebuilt, and how to leverage your insurance and any available aid.
John, what David’s saying makes a lot of sense. It’s crucial to first assess your immediate needs, but also start planning for long-term recovery. The federal government has declared Milton a disaster area, which should unlock several resources for people affected. In addition to that, some financial institutions are offering emergency loans and deferments. But as Maria mentioned, first connect with FEMA or a local relief organization-they can help with temporary housing and supplies.
From a community standpoint, we’re working on getting additional resources into the most affected areas. John, if you need help navigating the paperwork for insurance claims or government aid, we’ve set up a hotline specifically for that. And like Sarah mentioned, there are financial services out there that are designed to help people in your situation, whether through financial advisors like Desiree or directly from government relief programs. The important thing is to take it step by step.
That all makes sense, but it’s still hard to even think about finances right now. I appreciate the advice. I guess the first step is just figuring out where to start and getting some help on board.
State of Florida Debris Transparency Portal so citizens can track the progress of their town Mayor getting all debris removed. THANK YOU THAT IS A GREAT IDEA!!!
No reason why State of Florida can't offer free gasoline in limited quantities for entire State indefinitely there is that much fuel in the entire US market but in particular Florida right along with along the entire I-95 Corridor. Even free diesel fuel actually. ⛽ The USA simply has no demand for the fuel anymore outside of areas in upon the Northeastern United States. *"just use your hybrid drive pickup truck as a gas station now"* either way days of needing to pay for fuel in the USA have clearly ended😊😊
They are bringing in fuel by the truckload but some areas do not need the aid like others. DeSantis and his team and the volunteers are doing far more than anyone else ever did and I've been in Florida since a child in 1962. And in more hurricanes than most and not just in Florida. You can not touch this response.
My God I just cannot stomach DeSantis voice and his Sour pus face all the time...Insurance rates are thru the roof under his leadership and he says that they will work themselves out..I guess that is a Woke Idea he has!!
Florida property is almost uninsurable it’s not his fault or anyone’s. It’s the cost of doing business. It’s your fault you choose to live in a state that was never meant to be inhabited in a large commercial fashion how it is. It’s the fault of 23 Million Americans who have moved here in the last 60 years and paved over a SWAMP in the middle of an Ocean and a Gulf.
DeSantis is doing an amazing job cutting through the bs. And keeping things moving.

DeSantis is really doing all he can to get Florida to recover. Good for him!
God Bless Ron's team ad families- great job everyone!
God bless our Governor DeSantis!
The debris mission is the most important thing. 90 day removal or sitting there for a year or two and rotting in our sunshine...

Where is the Governor of NC

Really? Because we all can afford to buy hybrids. Btw, my big old pickup can get through some debris and water. Not sure hybrids can do that.
What on earth are you talking about?
What about the rent we are going to pay for the gas what say joè. Ànð kamala is good people Trump it is for rich people
Are you aware that you will pay MORE IN TAXES if Kamala gets in? 😡
