All those lovely clean and shiny trains! I expect the interiors were up to the same standard. That's how it should be done! Overall, I find your style of presentation and info the best I know in this genre, and I always look forward to hearing your delightful little theme again.
Great to hear! Berkhamsted is great and one of very few stations to showcase Pendolinos at full tilt 😃As long as you keep enjoying them, I fully intend on continuing to make them 👍
Marylebone station is a Central London railway terminus and connected London Underground station in the Marylebone area of the City of Westminster. On the National Rail network it is also known as London Marylebone and is the southern terminus of the Chiltern Main Line to Birmingham. An accompanying Underground station is on the Bakerloo line between Edgware Road and Baker Street in Transport for London's fare zone 1. The station opened on 15 March 1899 as the London terminus of the Great Central Main Line, the last major railway to open in Britain for 100 years, linking the capital to the cities of Leicester, Sheffield and Manchester. Marylebone was the last of London's main line termini to be built and is one of the smallest, opening with half of the platforms originally planned. There has been an interchange with the Bakerloo line since 1907, but not with any other lines. Traffic declined at Marylebone station from the mid-20th century, particularly after the GCML closed. By the 1980s, it was threatened with closure, but was reprieved because of commuter traffic on the London to Aylesbury Line and from High Wycombe. In 1993 the station found a new role as the terminus of the Chiltern Main Line. Following the privatisation of British Rail, the station was expanded with two additional platforms in 2006 and improved services to Birmingham Snow Hill. In 2015 services began between Marylebone and Oxford Parkway via a new chord connecting the main line to the Oxford to Bicester Line and an extension to Oxford following in 2016. As of 2020, it is the only main London terminus to host only diesel trains, as none of the National Rail lines into it are electrified. Marylebone is one of the squares on the British Monopoly board, and is popular for filming because of its relative quietness compared to other London termini.
Ironically I was just watching chiltern train spotting! Great channel! when you posted this one up. In fact it was the 823 driver’s view point from Birmingham Moore Street to London Marylebone! We have a connection 😅
Pls, could you record some trains at Caerphilly, Aber and Energlyn & Churchill Park (Tones l plus lots of 231s) all in my home town of Caerphilly South Wales
London Marylebone station will not change much as it has remains of Network Southeast and Chiltern Railways wouldn’t change much as it’s still called Chiltern Railways. And Chiltern Railways do have the best rolling stocks on their network.
From conversations I've had in person and online, both TPE and Chiltern could be dispensing with class 68s in the not too distant future. The TPE case not being helped by faults with the Mk5 stock.
I'd love to see some of these Class 68 / DVT's, but on Realtime Trains they don't show up, and I want to prep before heading to Marylebone. Does anyone know if they are the ones classed as 'Pathed as Class 158/168/170/175 DMU'? Thanks!
Hello! I usually do yes. At this station, you can sign in as a trainspotter at the gate line and they will let you through without one though. Thanks for watching.
You braved the nasty weather for this! I still don't understand why Chiltern Railways is still obsessed with small trains. All the way to Birmingham on just 3 coaches is horrendously awful
Love the 68s, its not very often that new loco designs are commended (think of the 70s) but the 68s are incredible, always enjoy filming them. Hopefully all new locos have this level of grunt.
Yep. Rush Hour, and Chiltern STILL only run 2- or 3- Car trains between Aylesbury and Marylebone via Amersham, which gets ridiculously busy and standing room only! You literally have to guess which platform the train will leave from before it's put on the Board, and stand next to the unit, just to get a seat! Complete sh*thousery!!
This trainspotter has the best quality videos. I watch your videos daily, you deserve more subs than your current one.
I 1 billion % agree
I couldn’t agree more!
I agree too😊
Do you prefer the Class 168 Clubmans or the Class 68s & Mk3s? Thanks for watching 😃
Class 68s and DVTs, as I prefer loco hauled services
Hello I like the 68s MK3s and looking everywhere for the Chiltern MK3s coaches for my layout. Like the video as well
Certainly the 68 & mk3s. I rarely travel up north, so this is practically my only opportunity to see a 68
Excellent video!! Chiltern Mainline definitely a bit neglected in a few ways but you got some good variety and shots here!!

Great video 👀😎👍🏽 Love those 68’s 😀👍🏽
Love the big CATs, the Mk3 DVTs are now also rare since they too are exclusive to the Chiltern Mainline now!
Another great video, thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching! 😃
@@StarlifeStudios it was a pleasure as always
Those 68s looks mean and so cool!
I may have a perfect nickname for The Class 68's Rumbler.
They certainly do rumble! I love the ‘Cats’ nickname. The headlights look like cat eyes and the engines are made by Caterpillar - Perfect!
Your vids inspired me to go spotting at Berkhamsted and it was great 👍. Thank you for putting all the hard work in your videos and keep making them ❤❤

You were sooo lucky to get 2 DVT’s next to each other I’ve been trying to get that for AGES
I love the chiltern 68s

I have one question wheres bakerloo
Great Video! Chiltern 91's seem weird to me xD. What do you use to edit your videos?
Thanks Intercity Railway, I use Cyberlink Powerdirector to edit with a mix of Adobe After Effects and Premiere for some bits and bobs. 😃
HI! I would like to ask You, How to enter the platforms? Buy a ticket?
Hello! I usually do yes. At this station, you can sign in as a trainspotter at the gate line and they will let you through without one though. Thanks for watching.
Ross, how did you get on the platform?
Did you have to ask?
I had to ask the barrier staff for a platform entry/filming pass. There wasn't any complications though 😃
I know what station you should trainspot at soon…! Taunton. My local Big station
Funny you should mention Taunton...
You braved the nasty weather for this!
