Sent here by BSD, always wanted to know which of his friends did the steel work that he was always donating steel bits to, not disappointed and definitely subscribed!
Just seen bigstackD's latest video and almost immediately came over and the tongs look amazing
Thanks mate!
I've been doing restorations, a little metal pouring inspired by BigStackD too, and now starting my blacksmithing journey. I think I am going to try and make a small set of these as a first real project. Thank you for being an inspiration!
BigstackD! sent me
GLAD he did GREAT vids good on both of ya. very gratful you make these and TY.
Just love how informative you are matey. Big love from the country music capital of Australia Tamworth NSW.

Just saw bigstackd's video and those look awesome good Job mate😜👍👌
love watching him melt stuff... dunno why
It's like a parody of BigStackD and I love it.
Nice work my friend. First time watching.. Enjoyed it very much.
This is very intense ASMR man, has a very industrial ring to it.
Great video, and craftsmanship. I came after @bigstackD featured them. Look forward to more.
Nice work from a true craftsman. It was hard for me to visualize the end product but it came together nicely.
Awesome tongs, I will make them!
Nice work 👍
Just saw the tongs in BigstackD's video, awesome job man.
Cheers mate!
I been trying to find some like that... Hmmm. I may have to make them or maybeee order them from you. ☺ oh yah... I subscribed too.
Haha cheers mate!
@@SamTownsBladesmith I think I would desire to order some as well.I got my devil forge and would prefer some hand made items like this verses something store bought that could breaks after first use. Do you take commissions? I need some tongues and an i got mold with a handle to.
Great to watch - I'll susbcribe-all now. Thanks a lot!
Great video
I go away for a few days, and the press has magically appeared! PS how could you NOT brass brush those suckers!
Haha yeah, brass brushing isn't really my style
@@SamTownsBladesmithBladesmith might have been interesting watching him try and melt them down though! :)
Big StackD brought me here!! You guys are awesome!!
Very nice!
Do you sell anything like those? I'd be interested in a set just like both of those if so.
Hey sam, I watch a lot of bigstackd videos and I think there just awesome, I'm also a blacksmith by training and I'm still getting better at it
Cheers mate, thanks for watching!
@@SamTownsBladesmith I can make you something out of aluminum if you want
@@driftersforge4962 thanks mate, flick an email to samtownsbladesmith@gmail.com
Excellent video friend!! I need a pair of pouring tongs like you made for BugstacktD! Index one for a #4-6 crucible. Whatever is the cost is fine. Hope to hear back soon. I'm tired of my flimsey tongs I made. I need something STURDY!
Hey Sean, no worries, can you email me at samtownsbladesmith@gmail.com
Wanna make another set for a Yank? What would it cost to make and get’em to Arizona?! 😁
Do you ship to Canada?
How much do you charge for tongs to pull a crucible from the furnace?
A set of lifters is $200aud+post
Hi Sam! I have a question, do you make them and sell them? I’m interested in a set for an number 8 crucible. Thanks in advance!
Hey mate, unfortunately I do not currently take orders, but thanks for watching!
Can I order some?
I would love a some of these. Do you ship to the US?
I'm not currently taking orders, but yes I do ship to the US
@@SamTownsBladesmith is there a way to be notified when you are talking ordered again? 😁
@@S.P.C. haha follow me on instagram @samtownsbladesmith
Hey Sam, Do you sell these Tongs?
Hey mate, I have in the past, bit am not currently taking orders
Got a referral from bigstackD thought I would check you out. Nice video. Subscribed look forward to more videos.
Thanks mate!
I really enjoy wandering the web and finding new channels to watch. Great video! But with the sods at RUclips not even bothering to update us with new releases, why do I even need to subscribe? Yes, it helps you keep track of numbers (and I'm not afraid to help YOU in any way I can!) but what benefit is there to me? The lousy bastards at YT can't even program a computer, why should I help them???? Anyone have an answer to that???
Great job they look like a good set of tongs do you build any to sell. I also do casting and seen the link to you from big D.
Thanks mate, I sure do!
I have a e-mail at jkunz1022@gmail.com I will look forward to chatting about the best action is to have a set made. Thanks for the reply.
You have not e-mailed me. I'm in the is and want to have a good set of tongs and lifter made. If you are interested in building them e-mail me to work out the details.
Hola my name is Fernando i live in Puerto Rico do you sell then. I will like buy one like the video. Let me know as soon as posible. Thanks anticipaded
Hi mate, I don't currently sell these. Thanks for asking!
DO YOU seII THESE OR JUST DOING BIGSTACKD a soIid
Yes I sell these
@@SamTownsBladesmith I'm thinking you are probably not in the States. By chance do you ship to the States? I'm guessing that could be quite expensive.
@@thelordschurchfarmandranch6694 i do ship to the states, but I'm from Australia so shipping is quite expensive
Those look great, but don't be afraid to have a longer video. This is sped up a bit too fast in my opinion. I mean, look how long green beetle's videos are, and they're still popular!
Most of my videos are longer, this one was filmed in bigstackd's style as a homage
Ah, I didn't realize. Sorry. I'll have to check out some more of your videos now.
Awesome video Sam, I look forward to BigStackD 's videos every Friday morning. You did a great job mimicking his brand. Also I needed to learn this in the worst way. Thanks
Cheers mate! Yeah I had fun emulating his style!
When our civilisation next time goes down, this job will be a rockstar profession once more again
AWSOME! I watch his channel too, as I also do casting
Yeah I've followed him for quite a while, I didn't realise he was in my state!
Sam Towns, Bladesmith needed to quench them in ice :8..oh nevermind.. you did.
@@SamTownsBladesmith , ah oh! Same state? Hide your brass copper bronze aluminium nordic gold ect
He melts things....lol
i thought was a real $100 bill
i Iike this video
Great job on the tongs! I really appreciate your talent here. Wish I had the tools and skill as you do. Subscribed! Loved all of your tributes to bigstackd's videos lol
Nice tong video. I'm kind of a tong video groupie
😂🤣 fair enough, glad you liked it!
hello mate, came here from BigStackD
Hey, thanks!
Same
I thought something seemed familiar about this video.....The Fridge.....Drink.....Didnt flick your shows off though, lol. Good effort mate.
Nice to see a metal smith at work. Wish I could learn even a fraction of the knowledge. Wrong country wrong time in my life BUT can still learn and appreciate those that can. At my age I'm sorta running out of time, but still a maker. If you don't know what a maker is, you should look it up. Silly thing I'm a carpenter by trade got hooked into 3D printing (my first robot, am proud of this) didn't have it tuned right but have gotten some good stuff from it (next re-build I'll really have to look after the details, home-built 200X200X400 next one uses's a cr-10 400X400 build plate (ahmm 700mm high or approx 550mm high print). Sum cheap Chinese stuff is a bit soft so this good video will allow me to improve them. Looking at building an induction furnace to work with tempering metals. Also working on an HHO generator system, I don't need a big system just big enough to braze my band-saw blades (brand new lasted 10 seconds) that have broken (at the so called weld join that is far to brittle) so everything I can learn about the process is precious, this was educational and well worth watching, now to figure out the metal colour charts, needs to be hard at the face (teeth) but soft at the back. Bu**er will have to look at more videos but well worth it. The internet community is awesome. Garenteed I will find answers, these vid's are precious for me because I can't find the instruction in my country, you tube is awesome for finding things, Thank you Google. (now if you could only find away to reduce my phone updates would be nice. Oh and having to reset google store to its defaults to do an update is rather annoying.)
As an American I find it funny but odd that you choose to burn the American $100 bill... ? Why is that?
My boy BIG STACKS told me about this CHANNEL
Fantastic video! I got your link from bigstackd. I’m a metal worker by heart but not a blacksmith. My hat is off to anyone who can swing a hammer all day like that. Cheers 🍻
Awesome, thank you!
I would like a set of tongs, I live in USA. how do I go about purchasing a set
That was such a satisfying process to watch, subbed and can’t wait to see more 🤘🍻
Buenísimo trabajo amigo saludos 🤗 👍
Nice video thx. Do you do orders for tongs you make?
Bonjour ,je suis en Afrique centrale, comment faire pour être en contact avec vous svp

Je peux Vous fournir du cuivre
i'm from vietnam and i like your videos, thanks.
Glad to hear!
I watch BigstackD videos all the time and I'm starting to get into metal casting myself if you could I like a pair of crucible tongs I could send you some 5/8 rebar through the mail
Hey mate, sorry I'm not currently taking commissions
No worries I'm glad you got my message the tongs looked pretty cool I was following big stackD for 2 years the stuff he does amazed me
Impressive video on making these tools!!!Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome, thanks for watching!
So cool, thanks for taking the time to record yourself doing all of this and putting it together, subbed for sure. :3
Thanks for watching mate, and thanks for the sub!
Regardless that's fake you're still showing that you like to burn US money. Yes, I'm from the US I like to know why you like to burn US money? Yes I know that money you burn is fake but the sign is still there. I do hope we could talk this over late gentlemen not all cussing swearing and hateful all around that's it.
I think you're reading a little too deeply into it mate. Australian currency doesn't burn because it's plastic, so it wouldn't make sense for me to have used it. It's also a visual joke, much like in movies where someone will light a cigar with a $100 bill. In any case, it was a nod to bigstackd who used to light his forges thus, which is what this whole video is about
@@SamTownsBladesmith well okay I just start watching bigstackd videos and he had a link in the description that lead to this video so I clicked on it. The piece of paper that he used is a custom bill not US fake money. I did watch some other videos that you have it seemed this was just a one-time thing so it's okay my apologies. Have a great day well for me goodnight.
