The final event of the 2015 regular Bassmaster Elite Series on Lake St. Clair. The professional bass fishing anglers chased giant smallmouth bass and each other in Detroit, Michigan.

In the exact same spot Palaniuk is fishing, I caught a 20lb chinook salmon on a canadian tire bass combo back in October 2003!

How does B.A.S.S. choose where to have the tournaments? I mean, do people go to a place, scout it out, fish it and find out if there are suitable fish to have a tournament?

Why is it sometimes anglers will make it a point to demonstrate that the fish is hooked inside the mouth(like Todd Faircloth did around 19:00 or so), but other times pull one in foul-hooked in the head with a crankbait, for example, and it's all good? I mean, we ALL KNOW you don't/can't just go out intentionally snagging fish, but just wondering why sometimes it seems to matter and other times it doesn't?

Tony's Fishing, Gaming & Guitars if you are sight fishing then they have to be hooked in the mouth. Mainly this applies to bed fishing, but if you are fishing deep and snag one that’s ok

Some fisheries and or state has a law where the fish have to be hooked inside the mouth whether your site fishing or not!!
I'm pretty sure California has that law!!
Watch the bassmaster on Clear Lake in California, I think in 2007, when Steve Kennedy won!!
