when it started and sirens went off, i was shopping in target for t-shirts. i wont forget it because on my way home, i was almost hit by it, and when i went back to school, the halls were quiet and eerie because we were sad for what happened to rowlett, which is less than an hour from where i live.
A year ago today.....I watched in horror as this tornado rampaged thru my hometown of 22 years and utterly ruined dozens of homes and businesses-I'm just thankful nobody I knew lost their own lives. R.I.P. to all those who did. =(
I love Texoma because you depend on Wichita Falls, Altus, Lawton, Oklahoma City, Fort Worth, Dallas, Paris, and Vernon, but the twisters , too many of them!
That low pitched siren closest to this location was the A.C.A. P-50 model siren located on Goliad Street in Rockwall across from the Sonic hamburger drive in. That siren has been replaced with a T-129 by A.S.C. if I am correct. If not, still a siren by American Signal Corporation. Good video sir. Thank you for posting it.
@@weathermanofthenorth1547just the older ones without battery backup shut off. Note the lower pitched two (those are the older ones) died when the power was cut but the slightly higher one stayed running because it’s newer and has a battery backup. They’ve since replaced their old stuff so they all have battery backup on their system now.

Hi I'm from 2021, how is it in 2016 or 2015. I'm from the future.
@@Spence02 I don’t like it why
I think that storm actually damaged the main siren (P-50) heard in the video to have a delay in the timer by 40 seconds.

These sirens went offline when the high transmission lines were severed (huge power flashes towards 2:05)
