Slash the FSD price in half and more people might consider it or have more options like per mile, per hour, per day. I would gladly pay $8-10 for the day on a roadtrip , or $2 for a few hrs.

Got my trial offer today, we will see....spending additional $2k expecting much resell value might be a good point. Without it, the depreciation value will be even more as there will be many more vehicles with paid FSD in the used market.
My plan is to buy Model Y this summer. I drive seasonally between Seattle and Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico. I thought that I would subscribe for a month for the trip south. If I like it then my plan would be to subscribe for one month for the return trip 6 months later. To purchase would require two things: first that it makes the 4 day trip much better and second that there is an option to move the software license to a new car - it seems that there is almost zero residual value when selling a Tesla with FSD. It will be interesting to see how FSD handles the Mexican highways with a myriad of lane markings - the old ones often have not been painted over - and some city roads where the lane dividers are so faint that I guess where I should be in my lane.
I tested FSD 1 month subscription on a road trip from SC to TX and back, last year. It was cool, but I never used the auto-lane change, especially since one of the sensitivity options was "Mad Max." I would have gotten flipped off way too many times, ha! That being said, I was able wrap a weighted strap around the steering wheel and got only 1 alert about that. So very relaxing drive (except going through Atlanta, which is hell on earth)
Well my Tesla did just one update. It coveres charging in cold weather. So kind of hard to do the 12.3.1 when employees tell me it’s going out in VERY SMALL batches. Sigh!!!

I mean that's why Tesla is pushing this so hard now, with the free trials ( and mandatory ones...sigh) they want people to buy into it , they spent billions of dollars on this tech and now they want to make their money back at least a little bit.
As grand as this news is, I wonder if this is more a method to increase revenue and less so a confidence booster in FSD-B in general. Which makes me concerned about the bottom line about vehicle sales in Q1.
It’s $200 a month. More for using if you know you’re gonna go on a long trip one month and then you don’t have to use it again until your next big long trip.
Unless the price goes up, say tesla starts charging double like 400$/month or 30k$ for fsd.. then when you sell the car, it actually appreciated in value :)
I rent a lot of vehicles for work, often electric when I'm around major metros. A couple months back I got a Tesla with FSD and it was terrible. I had the car for a week and there were so many issues. I had a Ford Mach e last week for a couple of days and their adaptive cruise and lane keeping was so much better that I honestly told a friend that Tesla should consider licensing it from Ford. Seriously, night and day. I HATED the Tesla driving experience and the very fun party trick felt even more dangerous than my normal 5 year old Chevy volts adaptive cruise control.
Yea no offense to the TEsla employee but there is no way I want my first drive in my brand new car to be with them... I get that everyone is different, but i've watched so mnuch content on Tesla's that I know what I would be getting, and would want to start exploring and using the car myself.
Hot take: I think FSD will be free eventually. As supercharging opens up and more inexpensive EV’s become available, Self driving will be one of the main reasons to buy a Tesla
FSD should be a license following the user, not the car. If this rule ever changed, I will buy more FSD for my other car(s). It will also drive more sale on replacement Tesla. Why can't Elon (Tesla) see that??
I own a lot of cars… a BMW X5M, A7, 2 Mercedes, an Aston Martin, a Maserati and a Model X. I would never allow a sales guy drive with me other than a Tesla service guy. There is no pressure. Ever.
NEW users of FSD beta arnt more dangerous. They are extremely skiddish and hyper alert. Its the veterans who have built up so much trust in it that can be more dangerous
Nah man…Touchless delivery is crap..these things have wayyyy to many issues with the Model S with panel gaps and BS to just show up and take the car. I completely disagree with this. These should have a premium service attached. Forget this new school door dash delivery idea. The service is trash , too many young broke cant afford what they are selling associates working there. Need to hire wayy more real adults..over 35 people who know about actual customer service. All the Millennials with no sales experience working there. TESLA service and customer service needs a serious upgrade. So having a place to escalate the crap they do is needed. So spending 40K or more to just pick up from a company who still cant get the panel gaps and little stuff right …should not be doing any touchless anything…quality IS NOT there yet

$250 bucks a month is unreasonable.
It's $199 per month.
It’s $200 a month. More for using if you know you’re gonna go on a long trip one month and then you don’t have to use it again until your next big long trip.
Its $200/month. More for people who either lease their vehicles or just want to invest their monies else where for the current day, and then by later.
Yes, I’ll try it but spending $12K that is lost when selling car is awful.
Unless the price goes up, say tesla starts charging double like 400$/month or 30k$ for fsd.. then when you sell the car, it actually appreciated in value :)
I’d have it if it weren’t for the steep price.
They are either so confident... or so desperate.
You most likely were NOT on FSD V12.3?
@@srqnate maybe, I checked the software page and it said I was on FSD and fully up to date. Either way it was a terrible experience.
I think it doesn’t matter for free the bottom is price they need to lower to 5k to 8k. 😊
What do you mean no Model 3s ??? WTF !?
No need for the jumpscare in the thumbnail 😫
There will be a lot of car accidents happen once release, then Tesla stock drop hard
You could be right. Every FSD 12 video on youtube shows all kinds of human interventions needed. FSD is nowhere close to full autonomy yet.
Bro can get dropped off to his house by a robotaxi and still won't believe in robotaxis. 😂 Just admit when you're wrong.
Where is the referral code for 1yr premium and 3 months FSD
nvm i already ordered sadly
I didn’t get mine
Model 3’s aren’t getting a month of free FSD?!?!? That can’t be true
I think highland Model 3s
Yea no offense to the TEsla employee but there is no way I want my first drive in my brand new car to be with them... I get that everyone is different, but i've watched so mnuch content on Tesla's that I know what I would be getting, and would want to start exploring and using the car myself.
Hot take: I think FSD will be free eventually. As supercharging opens up and more inexpensive EV’s become available, Self driving will be one of the main reasons to buy a Tesla
Why give you free when they can charge money?
Probably but may be a while until competition catches up. For now, Tesla has a huge advantage in supercharging network and scale of economies
FSD should be a license following the user, not the car. If this rule ever changed, I will buy more FSD for my other car(s). It will also drive more sale on replacement Tesla. Why can't Elon (Tesla) see that??
Way too expensive and it doesn’t even work that great…
Unless Tesla assumes liability I don’t see much value.
I don’t understand how people just won’t try it. Imagine everyone having jet packs and still thinking walking is better
What if the jet packs work 98 percent of the time, but some people are getting terribly hurt? That's why people don't trust FSD.
Still have no interest in FSD. Unlike so many people, I enjoy driving, meaning that the car driving itself has no value to me.
I am not scared of FSD not working... I'm scared of FSD working... That is mine and many other peoples jobs gone... So no i am not happy to see this... And if your a driver like me say goodbye to your livelihood.
You’re good for a while yet dude, still plenty of disengagements
@@iCozzhI have a Class C License... That will be the first driving jobs to go... Pair that with an Optimus bot... Goodbye all delivery jobs... That is the job i do.
We all can't wait to not drive.
@@AnthonyAlvarado78I love driving... I wanted to drive... I will not stop driving... As Long as I am physically and mentally capable of it i will keep driving... And FSD is not going on motorcycles... Just so you know.
@@WolfX1120Optimus bot can't do anything useful for a home consumer right now. Maybe it can walk 1 mile per hour on a perfectly flat factory floor. That's it.
Guess Elon needs more data for FSD…lol, and price went down from 199 to 99 CAD now. So I am definitely gonna subscribe. Not make any sense to pay 11000 upfront now.
Mofo, i took delivery early this afternoon of a model y. They didn’t show me the FSD……I am in Toronto Canada as far as the map shows, it is NA. I guess the order has been rescinded?
Full self drive is garbage.
