i just don't understand how Mr Krabs could have the best singing voice on the show and he didn't even bother to enter his own talent show his restaurant threw.
The fact that Pearl is adopted flew over my head all these years. As a toddler, I just thought she was his actual daughter not knowing about adoption yet. When I found out about being biological or non-biological parent, my brain just forgot to register the fact that Pearl is a whale implies she's adopted. The fact that she can be an overwhelming teen for middle aged Mr. Krabs and yet he still loves her unconditionally shows he's a loving father despite his OCD with money hoarding.
I still assumed as a grown-ass adult that she was his biological daughter; it's not like the setting wouldn't allow for something that weird. That said, I like this bit of headcanon, because it gives a sense of depth and likability to his character even as the show keeps turning him into a bigger asshole with every new season.
Never forget the ep where Mr. Krabbs wanted to give Pearl an amazing bday. At the end, Mr. K is angry at the money SpongeBob spent but once Pearl thanks him for the best bday ever, he couldnt be happier. Mr. Krabbs loves her more than anything, a true father
Mr Krabs also broke into peoples homes to steal food when Pearl was going through a growth spurt that made her have a never ending hunger. He is a bastard but would do anything for his kid
The image of little Pearl and Mr Krabs always melts my heart. So cute, but also so sad if you accept the headcanon that Mr Krabs adopted Pearl because her parents were killed by whale hunters.
Considering Tarzan was adopted by gorillas and because his parents and their child were eaten by the same jaguar, it makes perfect sense with this song.

Apparently she's actually his biological daughter. There's some text or dialogue somewhere that says she takes after her mother. Also, at one point, Mr. Krabs says that the bed she has has been her bed since she was a newborn, suggesting he's had her since birth.
I feel like the gravel in Krabs' singing voice that the ai is able to capture really well in these (albeit frequently because of technical hiccups that happen to work well with the voice) would work really well with something from Springsteen
I can actually picture Mr. Eugene Krabs singing this to Pearl during the first few seasons of the show. But not in the later ones. What, with Krabs becoming more and more obsessed with money that ever. Maybe if he hadn't been so focuse on money and spent more time with his daughter, then Pearl wouldn't be so harsh and simissive of him in the present days, searching for him only when it concerns money or something she wants instead of wanting to simply spend some time together as father and daughter.
