I’m always so proud of the sniffer dogs when they find what they’re trained to find. They get so excited and it’s so cute
Yes me too, they are the best officers, professionals! And so adorable!
Georgie Kittscha I meant when they get their ball but okay boomer
there handlers must really enjoy their work as well , imagine having a cute puppy as a work colleague
The tennis ball reward is so lame, they should have some treats around for when they find something. Would be easier and less gross than a dirty tennis ball.
@@samuelrs5138 The dog doesn't seem to mind their reward.
What these dogs find: smuggled drugs, wrapped in 5 layers of plastic
What my dog finds: my chips, on my desk, while i‘m not there
Well, you need to train your dogs properly!
Some drug dogs are trained to detect prescription pills. No human can compare. ( :
My dogs are great chip detectors, too! 🦮🐕🦺
Awwww lol
Megan, the dog, is like in heaven. She thinks she is playing all day along to find an easter egg with the ball being the price, and all those people coming and going in the airport are just part of the game.
K-9 dogs feel the same when when they clamp onto a person running from the police.
@@danielwalker26 It makes me wonder though if that is the best approach.
I mean, how hard is it going to be to prevent that trained dog becoming a danger to any random person or how will it affect the rest of its life?
I can't imagine that sort of training is easily unlearned so that the dog can have a normal pet's life.
@@joyl7842 Can you please explain your three sentences? Were you drunk, when writing? I honestly have no idea what you are trying to say. It is so strange. What the F do you think about these dogs? A danger to passengers? Huh? They are never dangerous! Dangerous dogs have a totally different function, large guard dogs are often trained to stop you. That is serious business. You move one inch and the dog will bite. So, you do not walk away. Tough criminals will kill the guard dog and run away. When you are unarmed, a large dog can kill you. You have no chance. But again, those drugs dogs only search for drugs, and they do not fight anybody. What are you dreaming about? What the F? So, please try again!
@@voornaam3191 it’s a genuine question. Not sure why you have to be such an asshole about it. Does it make you feel big and bad to lash out like this over a logical question? They weren’t talking about the dogs in this video. They asked about K-9 dogs that are trained to take down a suspect. Not everyone knows the training background of different types of “working” dogs. It wasn’t that serious of a comment to merit your response. The fact that you can get that hostile and belligerent over a comment on the internet makes me wonder if you need professional help to work on your unresolved anger issues. It wasn’t that serious you need to calm down and get over yourself.
@@voornaam3191 you obviously can't read either... she was responding to someone discussing K-9 dogs attacking criminals... that was her inquiry. You went off, so you must have been having a bad day and thought attacking someone on the internet would make it better.
Please eat a snickers.
So adorable how the dogs alert and are like " here mom... the drugs are here! Then they are rewarded with a ball or Frisbee it is so sweet! ♡
Shoot F a treat, I want yall pay🙃🥰
The dogs are 100% why I watch these videos. After he pointed out the box and got his ball he was so happy and that makes me so happy 😭❤️

I can't believe how calm the guy in the white shirt is. He's so cool calm and collected.
Omg, the old man was so cool and nice and polite. Love him.
Why did they select him, only by the way he looked not up to their standard. They need to compensate passengers for the time and inconvenience they cause.
@@TheTruth-dy8ze Because it's a plane from Jamaica. If i make a flight to Medellin, Cali and come back you bet your ass they'll look at your stuff and will have sniffer dogs on arrival. You do not compensate passengers for it because it literally is for passenger safety. You can be compensated if you have some of your stuff broken in the process of course but waiting 10-20 min to search your bags is not a big inconvenient when you travel 20 minutes is nothing... You wait longer to get out of the plane itself on arrival
@@jeanjacques9365 Really, I have no objection to sniffer dogs, but to go through the luggage piece by piece and finding nothing is a true inconvenience and it needs to be regulated. Taking bugs into a separate room for their destructive search is wr
@@jeanjacques9365 wrong when you have no idea what they are doing and can easily plant any drug they like, in your luggage and say they found it there. I would not trust these agents to search my bags out of my sight as they are on a quest to find something anything to make it seem like they are doing their job.
Holding people up for a half hour is a limit I’d put on their search unless there are indicators that there is positive drug smuggling and not from the over calibrated machines they use that have proved to be wrong more than once.
He was selected on his appearance and was gracious in his demeanor to them maybe because he was not in a hurry to catch other transportation.
@@TheTruth-dy8ze they are not allowed to search your bag outside of your sight. If you plan your traveling correctly 30 minutes shouldn't be a problem and yes the machines are not perfect but if you dont do anything and you dont go to known drug hotspot you will likely never have more than the x-ray and swab test at the airport. It's not fun for anyone but at the same time you dont want anyone to come and go with whatever they want, crossing borders is a privilege not a right.
I have great respect for the dogs and their handlers working these jobs.
Such amazing discipline.
I just hope the dogs can enjoy a fulfilled life outside their job.
I saw a video of a border/custom sniffer dog retiring, they set him to a case to sniff and opened it, a bunch of tennis balls came falling out. The dog was so happy.
@@mr1727 That's so wholesome!
Takes alot of hard work and dedication and determination. And a very brilliant dog
I've been watching so many of these that I asked the Mrs to dress up as a customs officer the other night.
karaburmasuburb He probably gave her both!!! then asked for a rubdown, and UP!! hahahaha
😂🤣😂 that would actually be some kinky role play!
Why? Did you swallow some drugs? 😂
Lmao
Great idea
That man with the white hair who had nothing in his bags, now THAT is how to react to things properly. You're polite, you're respectful, you let them do their jobs. They're keeping you safe, they're enforcing the law, there's no reason to be rude or uncoperative.
top bloke he is
Why do they not search the suitcases with gloves on!!? I wouldn’t put my hands on stuff knowing they could have drugs and unknown things in them.
when the cameras stop rollin they suck on their fingers
sbjkd he deserved that then. You at least were trying to protect yourself and others by keeping your shoes in a bag. All they care about is trying to put people in jail it seems. That’s what I’ve taken from the shows. They seem disappointed when the suspect person is actually innocent when they should be happier about it. Can’t stand when the seize someone’s money just because they can. People carry amounts of all different ranges yet they can take it even when it’s under the limit to need to declare it. The fuck!? I’d be a traveler who carries no cash and only my cards. If they ever stopped me they probably wouldn’t be satisfied that I’d have enough funds because they are asses. Either way they need to wear gloves to not cross contaminate people to get false readings etc. plus I doubt they even change them between searches so you’re basically screwed.
Or dirty laundry!
If you are innocent why worry?.
Smugglers: we will smuggle cocaine
Sniffer dogs: sorry bro..

Night Crawler yeah one person on this series swallowed 61
Dogs = best, least expensive and most loyal employees ever and they have great work ethics. Everyone should have a dog to go to work with them.
Why should dogs have to work?
@@mastershake42019 There's a whole group of dogs called "working breeds" because they thrive off of performing tasks. Border collies are a great example. They are incredibly active and smart and love to use their skills in a work environment. Not all dogs are going to be a working breed, but those that are find great enjoyment and happiness in these settings.
Yes, dogs love having something to do. People don't realize that most issues of naughty behavior, is brought on by the dog being bored. They need to be mentally stimulated. Border Collies go crazy if they're not given activities to do. Too often, people don't fully understand the needs of the breed they adopt.
Dogs aren't the problem, dishonest police are the problem and giving dogs a bad name.. e.g. roadside vehicle searches where the dog actually didn't hit on drugs
@@mastershake42019 The dogs don't see it as work, they don't even understand the concept of "work". For them it's just a game. Just imagine how it would be for people if they saw their jobs as a big game, AND still do it with dedication.
Years ago when I worked at the Massachusetts General Hospital we a patient in the ICU whose swallowed packs of cocaine had burst. He suffered so much brain damage that he had to be sent to a chronic care facility for the rest of his life. The doctor said he'd sustained "an overdose of stupid."
Do they get all the dog's consent to not blur their faces on the show? I hope they signed release waivers! :)
Well, they are all tail waivers......
I think they wave their tails as a consent, so it's not? Omgggggg
For the security of the dogs and their handlers, I hope so 😅
Rewarding the dog with a toy is just pain smart. Finding the contraband is the reward and the toy is the treat. Thanks. GB
All those beautiful old books sliced up for foul drugs. That is a crime in itself.

The way they dogs get so excited with their toy reward is absolute gold. They're adorable.
Dogs. By far the most productive and effective of all law enforcement units. Brilliant assets and fantastic ROI.
I enjoy seeing how happy the doggos are, and how stellar they are at their job. 🐶
Doggos?
I had powerful prescription meds on me & went through red channel. Customs said what am I declaring & I said my meds. They said are they prescription & I said yes. They said ok thank you. Never wanted to see them or doctors letter.
See if ypu dont declare them you are arrested for drugs
If you dont declare the your arrested and xrayed and questiond and seacrched for cocaine
They're really not after someone carrying a small bottle of medication they willingly declared. That's why they have dogs to sniff things out for efficiency.
I am guessing not many smugglers walk to the red zone.
Same thing happened to me! I had my doctors letter and the pills ready, all I got was a nod, and a smile! Mind you as soon as I took my hat off and they saw my stitches and they understood. Absolutely cool guys!
He sniff, not attacc, and find the drug sacc.
This is gold
Doggy gold
@Harry Harry wrong
I just love when they find a swallower
Saleh H3s So do I 😉
Swallowers are lied to and told that their cargo is undetectable. So they happily go through the x-ray and find out that it does see the packages. They also prey on people who are desperate for money who will swallow drugs for them.
🤢🤮 Eeeewww! Customs has to fish it out! I couldn't do it. I'd be puking all over the place.
@@teeteeree3540 it's a sealed glove box. They flush it with water. You don't even smell it.

They have the most adorable coworkers in the dogs 😍. I wonder if it would be considered an offence to leave a tip for officers to get them treats or a cosy basket or somethung?
I love working with the airport security dogs, when they’re boarding with us they’re always so happy to get treats and toys
I’m loving this show, and these UK government officials are top notch and very observant on pinning the bad guys. The dogs are so smart too. Man these drug smugglers are getting slick but thank god these UK officers are smarter. Hope they track down who the package is supposed to be deliver to.
While I saw that dog doing a beautiful job I though, that's amazing, then I looked to the left just to see my dog sleeping like a bastard 🤣🤣

🤣🤣🤣
Can relate😂😂💪
Cus ur lazy to train him ur the bastard here LMFAO
Wouldn't want it any other way 😁
Sometimes they even look physically uncomfortable, when they have packages inside them.
I used to live in Asia and would nest suitcases all the time when I would come back to the states for a vacation. (I always stocked up on goodies while over here that you can't find back in Asia like teaching supplies, certain foods, more clothing, etc.) Leave Asia w/ nested suitcases, go back to Asia with 2 full suitcases. Never thought of it as something potentially weird until the guy got odd looks for doing the same thing.
Ah, it just shows that you want to buy things and come back with two full suitcases. That is no crime. Let other people think whatever they want. Maybe the customs will check you. When you declare things that you need to declare, and you break no rules, and you tell the customs what you use that second suitcase for, the customs may take some of your time, but that is it. Just take care your suitcases are clean, if you use some drugs (just once, just legal and at home, it happens) you could leave traces of drugs in a suitcase. Customs can find those traces, and maybe you can explain, things like that still do take time, you may be suspicious when tests are positive. When you have nothing to fear, why not fly with nested suitcases?
One of my friends is always dressed like a hippy. Long hair, coloured garments. And he smokes pot, but he never owns too much. His car is always checked from engine bay to the boot, when he crosses a border. Just because of his looks. But he never had any real problems, they always let him go.
You can buy these cool collaspable suitcases! So they don't take up much room in your main suitcase, and then you can use them to bring stuff back. They're really handy and neat.
I just want to see what happens when there's a big shipment of doggy biscuits, will the dog freak out and indicate that?¿
How To Make Sushi- LOL! 😀😀😀 - that would be very unfortunate if the K-9 alerts on a big container of Doggy Treats.
it doesn't get rewarded as it is not what is trained to alert on! When on Duty, the K-9 unit is searching and alerts for specific things!
Would be interesting to see its body language if the Treats are its favorite 😀😀😀 🐕🍪 !!!

I do that though. I live in a tropical country, but love to shop for clothes, toiletries etc in the U.K. All my cold weather clothing is kept at my mother’s house, so I bring in relatively empty suitcases (and I put the smaller one inside the biggest one) and leave with full ones.🙂
Dogs are gods gift to the humanity. They are cute, loving and smart.
Stacking 1 suitcase within another is not uncommon for my family, We always pack 1 bag into another on a trip and then when we need extra space for souvenirs or what not we don't have to buy a new case in the country we are visiting.

NOOOOOOOOO, why would they cut books like that?!?
Paula Ibarra Bringas Because they can’t aloud class A drugs to enter the UK😂
It's actually common to do that, I know people who did that to books in school to sell shit.
The dogs are amazing. I hope they are paid well for their superb findings!

I bet they tried it with cats, but they wanted a cut of the find.
Sniffer cats: Jump on TOP of the box. Puffs up tail and growls, flexes claws. Feed me and then I'll let you have the box. Snuggles down on box to wait for room service.

The security vids with the sniffer dogs are the most interesting and I don't own a dog. So many borders would be so much better protected if they had sniffer dogs.
I’ve watched so many of these episodes I feel like I personally know each person arrested in the intro!

You can see the smirk on his face disappear when she tells him that it will be one of the male officers, not her, who will do the rub-down search.
First off, Megan's a legend of a dog for finding those drugs, good on ye, lass. And secondly, hats off to Mr Hitchins(?) for understanding and being compliant with the officers, though the matryoshka suitcases were a laugh.
How can anyone get mad at these beautiful dogs? Hiding something illegal might not make you happy…they are so happy to get a praise from the handlers for doing their jobs.
the old chap's treatment of the officers is proof that just because you are old you don't necessarily have to be an asshole. He is elderly and could have easily complained about being held.
He kept saying they weren't criminals when in reality all three are criminals when they tried to smuggle in all that tobacco. And he was extremely rude and condescending.
The dog will be like : sniff, that's good stuff.

How can someone swallow so many packages of cocaine? I can’t imagine how uncomfortable that would feel.

Saw an article once that explained that the best dogs for training as sniffers are dogs who are totally obsessed with their toy. It explained that the dogs are taught to associate the scent of their toy with the scent/s they're being trained for, so all they are doing, in effect, is searching for that toy! That's why you see these dogs get a ball, a frisbee, or other object as their reward, rather than a "treat," and happy as can be about it!
"it's a massive seizure, weighing in at several kilograms"
Gimme a break. There's several metric tonnes seized at ports near where I live in The Netherlands.
These amounts are pathetically tiny.

That's actually the point. It's how they train the dog. Her favourite toy is the ball, so they reward her with the ball :) Rather cute actually.
If she loves it she loves it. Plus they probably play fetch while waiting for the next crate of stuff to come in, then the handler takes the ball, and waits for the sacks to be searched

*Finds large quantity of cocaine* ‘it’s celebration time’
you would think as many times as the drugs have been caught in someones body the people that are running the drug game would learn to make it more realistic and believable
matt Tarrant...the so-called leaders think they're smarter than the authorities, and come up with obvious shams that scream... "catch me if you can!". They're not criminals like the mafia, which was relatively well organized, but buffoons who want a quick buck.
I think they don't care, and just rely on numbers. They don't care if nine people get caught so long as one makes it through. The donkey is going to be dumb, that's how they pick em.
Make what more realistic and believable? The packages inside the bowels? The behavior of mules? What exactly could be made more realistic, believable, and how exactly?

12:55 I don't think that's unusual at all?? A lot of people I know (myself and extended fam included) do this when we know we're going to buy a ton of stuff home. you can tell about someone getting arrested or not, if they censor their face
Except for the swallower...
In another episode they said that if you don't agree on the X-ray, they keep you in custody until you pass stool twice. If no packages come out, then you are free to go. If this dude decided for this option, as he pooped twice without passing any of the packages he swallowed, they would have let him go and then he would have successfully completed his mission 😲
If if if. I'm pretty sure they've ( in consultation with doctors and other experts ) have reasons to believe that two movements will produce at least one if the packages

I'm a native-speaker of English and I don't understand what they mean when they say, "it may harm your defense if you do not mention when questioned something you later rely on in court." So the guy who said he's going to his sister's wedding. Suppose they don't ask him further questions about why his sister didn't talk about her wedding to the customs officer. But later in court he says that she didn't mention the wedding because she was eloping against her parent's will and the parents were listening to the conversation. And she said she didn't pay half his ticket because her parents think she has no savings and don't know her fiance gave her money for his ticket. All this comes out in court, but not in questioning by customs. How would that harm his defence? I just don't even understand what that phrase means and how it would play out in real life.
What a lovely old man
That first guy had a big butt. Also I love the sniffer dogs. Do they go home with a handler or do they live in a kennel when not working? I hope they go to a home at night.
'Clandestines' is a far friendlier term, when compared with "Illegal Alien" in the US. Even when you hold a valid Green Card, you still have an Alien Number and are officially known as a US (Non Citizen) Legal Alien.
Words have no set tone. They pick it up by association. I'm pretty sure "clandestine" has exactly the same unfriendly connotation our society as alien in yours. The behaviour, consequences etc are equally serious and severe
