The Defendant just couldn't do it. Because that style is possible ppl use to get their hair done like that all the time back in 2010-2012. Trust the professional and you WONT be disappointed, DONT trust the stylist, keep trying to get what you want and you WONT be happy.
From what I’m hearing in the testimony, this woman wanted a quick weave style on a sew-in weave. That’s the whole problem right there. If you’re attaching the wefts to a braided base without some type of net, you’re extremely limited in styling. Plus, a short cut like that would be really bumpy and bulky with braids underneath. With a quick weave, you can wrap and mold the hair down flat. Then you’re free to glue the wefts in any direction needed to achieve the style. I’m willing to bet that the client was advised that the quickweave would be the better option, but she probably insisted on a sew-in for whatever reason.
She simply should've went to the previous beautician that did it how she wanted. The style isn't impossible to achieve, the stylist just couldn't do it. The plaintiff should've just went to the other stylist
Consultation Consultation Consultation... First of all,I’ve learned that clients have a Totally different definition of what’s possible within their timeframe...Secondly,Pictures are a great way to break through the confusion of misinterpretation... Lastly, and Most Assuredly,Important...Explaining to them, the difference between the picture and their hair, and that you can give them,THEIR HAIRS VERSION OF THAT LOOK...because, they don’t have the same hair...If after all that,as a stylist,if you feel like they aren’t understanding what you’ve said... You have earned the right to say No,and wish them well...✨😘
It doesn'[t matter whether it is or isn't achievable. if your specific stylist is telling you THEY CAN'T do it but will try, then the client should know theyre taking a risk. yes, the stylist could turn it down but they gave their warning. ultimately the client decides whether they want to spend the money. i side with the defendant
Hilarious the hair dresser came to court with the style she wanted 😂 .... that's why I learned how to do my own hair. And you can definitely put in a weave that you can put into a ponytail and manipulate.
Former hairdresser here. What she wanted wasn't a tapered or an "extended bob", which doesn't actually exist. What she took for a taper was actually an undercut, no tapering or fade. And it's also not a bob haircut, what those are is effectively an inverted hairstyle that requires movement of the hair in order to style and I don't care how good of a stylist she is, the top would not have been thick enough to cover the sew in. She said is right, she's a beautician not a magician, especially not when you're asking for 4 different hairstyles.
I used to work at a haircut salon checking in and out customers, I can’t tell you how many times I witnessed clients come in with a picture or multiple pictures and stylist explain “it won’t look exactly like this” or “they achieved that style with spray” etc, the point is weave or not, the stylist and the customer are wrong, they should have came to an agreement together for a different style. Customer should have listened to stylist, or stylist should have refused to do it letting her know she can’t do that style.
This is why I just started learning how to do my own hair because I’ll be damned if I spend my money paying someone else I don’t like it and I feel like I wasted my money and time.
My Mom’s side is black and I knew just from the intro the plaintiff lost. A weave cannot be tapered for a high cut bob. Unless you want to bring in lace caps and/or glue with hair bundles that style is unachievable. The defendant was honest and even stated the style was not possible with a weave. She’s an honest bright spirit.
I'm a cosmetologist and I object. All she has to do was sew the hair in a weft inside is the braids and razor cut it. Look at the hairdresser own hair it to heavy at the top. $380 for that sew 🤣🤣🤣
The defendant was straight up. Told her she couldn't do it. The plaintiff got under my skin. She was too special needs for me. Loved the defendant"s honesty . She is the real deal and I believe she is a great stylist. I didn't like it either!!!! Love it!!! God bless all of you ❤️
it seems to me like the defendant did everything right. She told the lady straight up that she could not do all of those hairstyles on her hair and recreate that particular style that she wanted. She tried to do it anyways, because the lady was a good customer (AND the lady gave her a VERY generous tip) and then she even offered to do another style completely free of charge because she didn't like the style either. And IF this style was so easy to achieve, why didn't the plaintiff have it done with one of THOSE stylists and bring her the proof. I think the judge's verdict was fair in this case.
What is there to understand? Our hair is versatile. Afro, pressed, braids, weave etc..a lot of other women wished they could have the many choices we have 🥂
I don't see how the plaintiff could have gotten the same results as shown in the pictures. The back of the head is SHAVED. Damn near bald/crew cut. The closest she could have gotten was what the defendant was wearing but more volume and longer tapering to hide/minimize what would be the shaved area. (6:10)
Lol I have those scales and I’m a Gemini but my x was a libra . And my mom birthday is 10-10 lol 😂 oh and next time just get a wig it’s way cheaper and you can always rewear the style
Its definetly true some hair styles are not acheivable with extensions or weave and if the beautician made it clear she was not able to do it, the plaintiff should have went somewhere else to find somone that can do it. I do know that feeling when you want a certain hairstyle and your beautician sais she cannot do it. It is dissapointing but it happens.
This look is EXTREMELY achievable w/ weave, quick weave, or a wig. I've had them ALL so it's possible. The Stylist was not gifted in that area & the Client cannot force an ungifted to do what a gifted can do. Have multiple Stylist for multiple styles 🤷🏾♀️
What time was this show filmed because now and days you can go anything with a weave lol. Folks doing mullets with wave, 27 pieces, and etc. She must just be one of them old school stylist.
That style is is achievable, I’ve seen it done on a few people but if someone tells me literally I can try and it’s difficult! That’s a definite sign to go to someone that can Smh.. 🙃😩🤔
The hairstyle is definitely achievable with weave, 27piece Chile. However, If she tells you she cant do it and you go to her anyways, that's on you. The defendant coming in with the similar style is hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I feel like this contradicts past rulings she has done. It usually involves a contractor and she days "your the professional, if it can't be done then why didn't you refuse the business?"
I thought the same thing but in this instance it’s different because the stylist told her she couldn’t do it the way she wanted and the plaintiff still proceeded so she’s the only one to blame i guess
Yeah I think the difference is the professional specifically saying, “this can’t be done”. Not sure which cases you mean, but the ones I can recall were usually someone after the fact saying it’s not possible. Not giving the client a chance to go, “oh okay, don’t do it then” or finding somebody else who might know more or be able to do what they want. But who knows there’s a lot of similar cases
I see people saying she should’ve listened to the stylist. The stylist should not have done it, even if she wanted it, if it couldn’t be done. My stylist has refused me dye jobs and hair cuts, because it isn’t in my best interest. Also, the style could be done, she just couldn’t do it.
I agree! I’ve seen plenty of people get that style with weave and it looks very natural. The stylist just couldn’t do it and that’s ok but she should have said I can’t do it and I won’t do it but here’s someone else who could probably help you. Both were wrong

Right! W/ her non hair doing a**
True she just should’ve used a shorter hair just like the defendant hair
She is thick headed! She is still convinced that she can do her hair. As a professional, it is ok to turn away business because of limited budgets, flawed expectations, and indecisiveness. All money isn’t good money. I respect the beautician for being honest. Unfortunately, this woman just wouldn’t listen.
“I’m a beautician not a magician” 🤣🤣 hilarious lol
I hope Judge doesn’t assume that “understanding” black hair isn’t just understanding weaves lol… that’s just a branch on the tree of black hair lol
A HUGE branch y’all love though…
@Bich please nah that’s THE point
I didnt care for Chris Rock movie. A friend of mine used that movie to make a point and i had to reeducate her. Smh
@@samanthaphillip7425 Agreed. But I didn’t expect much from Chris Rock. And props for re-educating your friend - can’t have ppl out here thinking that film tells the whole narrative of black hair. Also, this assumption that the black hair plight is solely a female issue is problematic.
Melissa u hope? Like u hope that punks in Chicago would stop murdering children. It's not that deep sis
The Defendant just couldn't do it. Because that style is possible ppl use to get their hair done like that all the time back in 2010-2012. It's called 27 pieces (where I'm from) the type of weave you can tapered cut in the back and the bundle weave at the top cut into the pixie cut. The plaintiff Should've went somewhere else and got the hair done exactly how she wanted. Plaintiff easily could've won this case but she's an airhead.. Why not just get it in a Quick weave.. I wish ppl court would bought in another blck hairstylist to explain it could be done.
That was the problem.... she wanted her hair done with hair that won’t achieve that cut
Same, it’s called a 27 piece and no one really wears them anymore. The stylist just wasn’t skilled in it
I mean, ultimately, the defendant said she couldn't do it, and the plaintiff refused to listen and had the lady do her hair anyway. The plaintiff should've just went elsewhere🤷🏽♀️
@L Cam I agree with that to. That's why I said why she didn't go to another stylist and got the exact hair style. But they could because real court bring in experts.
@@utena00 Right! because I would've left.
I love the fact that she said I try my best to understand black hair! Our hair is unique and you definitely have to do research on it! Absolutely love people that take time to understand our culture and hair.
“I try SOooo hard to understand black hair.!.”
You’re doing great judge 😂🖤✊🏾
She gets a lot of wigs, weaves and extension cases! And they be skressing her out lol ! She really be trying to understand lace fronts, closures etc 😭
NO she's not. SMH🙄
Plaintiff is not listening to judge nor did she listen to stylists who told her for (4) hours that she couldn't achieve the style
Lol right, I appreciate her effort!
@@starsintherain2000 You mean the efforts of her staff..who Google "Black hair" and give her the notes.🙄
I have never come home from the hairdressers liking my hair. I have been cutting my own hair for about ten years and I'm always happy with it. sorted!
Nice
Same here!!
My hairstylist always tells me when something can’t be done and why so I trust her because she’s not afraid to tell the truth; that’s made me be a client of hers for over 7 years.
I totally agree. She wanted what she wanted. And probably wouldn’t listen. Cause the stylist looks like she has a quick weave in.
Ag
Ree
She simply should've went to the previous beautician that did it how she wanted. The style isn't impossible to achieve, the stylist just couldn't do it. The plaintiff should've just went to the other stylist
Why not get weave on top and get your own hair tapered on the nape?
I love the stylist "I didn't like it either!" lmfao
The plaintiff was the client from hell... the hair stylist must be so happy to get rid of her! Lol!
Plan and simple...the stylist didn't have the skill to do that style, the client pushed her to do it, and she got what she deserved!
Ya Libra’s are so indecisive but it’s all love 😂
My mother is a libra.
that's most woman, horoscopes aren't a real thing.
Hilarious the hair dresser came to court with the style she wanted 😂 .... that's why I learned how to do my own hair. And you can definitely put in a weave that you can put into a ponytail and manipulate.
No she didn’t. Hers wasn’t shaved.
@@aliaborders4146o ok, thanks.
Did anyone else catch the plantiff mouth, "This is bullshxt" when the judge ruled in the defendant's favor? 😂
Clueless and classless....
Yea
Sure did!🤣🤣🤣
I had to go back to find it- she did mouth that lol
“I have a witness” 😂😂😂🤣 WHO GIRL
I’m dying at all the white faces behind the hairdresser explaining how weaves work😭
That style is done all the time with weave. She should've gone to someone else who could do the style.
Exactly she just ain’t know how 🤷🏾♀️
Former hairdresser here.
Okkkkaaaayyyyy Richard...you know exactly what's up!!!!
I'm a cosmetologist and I object. All she has to do was sew the hair in a weft inside is the braids and razor cut it. Look at the hairdresser own hair it to heavy at the top. $380 for that sew 🤣🤣🤣
She should’ve accomplished the hairstyle and came in to court with it to show it can be done
The plaintiff has the burden of proof but she didn’t have any proof. The defendant had the proof on her head lol
Exactly. She couldn't produce one photo. It was bizarre.
Right! The defendants hair is what she wanted🤣🤣🤣

"are these scales of justice on your back of your neck?"
"yes I'm a libra"
"oh I'm a lawyer"
LMAOO😭😭😭
I don't have the guts to tell my barber that he screwed up my hair. Usually, I just go home cry in the shower for days until it grows back 😫
🤣🤣🤣🤣💯🇭🇹
🤣😂
😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
CRY IN THE SHOWER? your barber are you supposed to be a guy?
I would like to just hang out with the hair stylist! Her personality is just adorable!!
It was the “I have a witness” at the end for me. I keep repeating it to myself and screaming💀😂😂😂😂😂
I know the feeling of wanting a weave to be real hair. It just doesn’t work that way.
11:40 took me out when she pointed to her current style as if that was a slay! lmao
Like girl u need to go back to the defendant’s chair 😭😭🤣
There are professional stylists that CAN achieve the tapered shaved look on wigs and weaves. This stylist just can do it.
What is there to understand? Our hair is versatile. Afro, pressed, braids, weave etc..a lot of other women wished they could have the many choices we have 🥂
The little girl's shirt that read 'Peace Love and Slime' made my day.
I don't see how the plaintiff could have gotten the same results as shown in the pictures. The back of the head is SHAVED. Damn near bald/crew cut. The closest she could have gotten was what the defendant was wearing but more volume and longer tapering to hide/minimize what would be the shaved area. (6:10)
"I'm a Libra..."I'm a lawyer" lol That made me bust out laughing too 😆
They cut the, 'Thaaaaank you, Douglas.' 1:05 timestamp. Aaargh.
Yk how upset I was 😭
Been a few like that recently...wonder why..??
The tapered back can be achieved with short weave hair . It’s Usually the cheap instant pixie hair e.g Janet brand or outre
You can not do a tapered shaved look with weave 😂😂😂😂
The lady complaining seems a bit slow. She also looks like sid from ice age. Lol
LMAO The white lady in the back was confused AF when the defendant was explaining the mechanics of a weave. I'm 💀💀💀
Lol I have those scales and I’m a Gemini but my x was a libra . And my mom birthday is 10-10 lol 😂 oh and next time just get a wig it’s way cheaper and you can always rewear the style
Wigs can be life savers 😇 less stress
Not the bath and body works bag🤣🤣🤣! Is that the only bag she could find to bring to court? Ooh chile I just love my people. So creative💯🤣
My favorite part of when the plaintiff mouths to herself "bullshit" after the judge makes her ruling 😂😂😂
These hair cases never gets old
Man she knew she lost that case the minute the Judge said she seen Chris Rocks documentary 😅
What time was this show filmed because now and days you can go anything with a weave lol. Folks doing mullets with wave, 27 pieces, and etc. She must just be one of them old school stylist.
She could have definitely done this! The defendant has almost the exact hairstyle the plaintiff wanted!
HOW ROSETT A STONE! "Pitchers AND Beauticianists"...Learn something new every day.
Those earrings on the defendant are amazing ❤️
I must admit being a libra myself. We are very indecisive no doubt! Lol😄
Facts!!🤣🤣
That style is is achievable, I’ve seen it done on a few people but if someone tells me literally I can try and it’s difficult! That’s a definite sign to go to someone that can Smh.. 🙃😩🤔
The hairstyle is definitely achievable with weave, 27piece Chile. However, If she tells you she cant do it and you go to her anyways, that's on you. The defendant coming in with the similar style is hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I am on the Plantiff side here but OMG, who let her wear those pants to court? Honey, your panty lines...😱😬
She is wearing the wrong size.
Too small lol
😂She talks abt that Chris Rock documentary, Good Hair, during every natural hair case...
What shantelle said. She went in with the understanding she could not do it.
ruclips.net/video/EdNRyfqdGmw/видео.html
Yeah I think the difference is the professional specifically saying, “this can’t be done”. Not sure which cases you mean, but the ones I can recall were usually someone after the fact saying it’s not possible. Not giving the client a chance to go, “oh okay, don’t do it then” or finding somebody else who might know more or be able to do what they want.
But who knows there’s a lot of similar cases
What difference does it make if the model is white or not it’s the style she’s seeking. Even though the stylist is in the right in my opinion.
Both were wrong
lmao I’ve been in that cosmetologist’s shoes before. Omg the stories that come from the hair salon.
I wish i could sue for everytime I hated what the hairdresser did with my hair. I'd be rich
She didn't take pics at her birthday party? I think the hair looked nice. The defendant is a hair stylist, not a magician. lololol
