Not really, Tigers or any other big cat are able to recognise people and vehicles as separate. They just dont see us as food while there is also an element of unknown danger(our bluff obviously).

Company I worked for opened a factory in India. Supposed to operate 24/7. They found it impossible to keep a night shift as people were scared they would be carried off by a leopard or tiger. and wouldn't leave their homes at night.

Very sad to know that this happened. Maybe there should be some expectation set before boarding tourists on Jeep for Safari. Also there should be signing of a clause from all people boarding that they are willing to take this risk at their own free will and will not hold anyone accountable in case of such danger. That should solve this problem. I am sure number of tourists will reduce which is actually good for the Tiger as well as the people. Please don't cry putting such comments as this is common sense. I am sure if you go to a law firm they will give a lot better clauses and statutes for you to implement to avoid these things.
