So, 1/2-inch instead of 2/3-inch, new lenses, new mount I suppose. One of the reasons 2/3-inch cameras are still prevalent is the B4 mount and abundance of lenses. I wonder has Sony kept compatibility with newer cameras? Will these lenses work with the XDCAM EX-3, for example? I have no idea which current 1/2-inch models Sony makes.
This was off 3/4" which is 300 lines. The camera itself puts out a much better picture. Plug it into a digital8 or dv deck and it would really look good. I had a evw300 which was the hi8 with basically the dxc325 with hi8 back. I used the svideo out into my dcrtrv110 and recorded on that. Lookes great. Much better than the hi8 could deliver. No comparision.

None. Most of the cameras these days are single cmos large sensors.
Looks like a nice transfer! You use your Cloner alliance box pro, or something else?
Yes cloner pro with the screen. The one i reviewed a few weeks back. Composite input.
great future at that time..after the sony make CC HAD to minmize the noise in low light and and clear black or shadow

Hyper HAD and power HAD were what my evw300 hi8 and bvw200 BETACAM SP had when i has them.
i is cool right!
The image quality is not much different from my Sony CCD-V6000 Pro, it is similar, I don't see a huge difference.
