But there is no reason why we should be called African Americans anymore. We are not Africans who transcended to the US. We were BORN here since the 1600's.

Thats not fair, you not saying that black people should forget slavery, jewish people WWII or even for Americans to forget 9/11. Everyone has the right to remember they're history. It doesn't matter how long ago it happend!
And I saw a comment about how they should be happy the Europians came and made they're country better and if they couldn't protect they're land they shouldn't own it. Thats not right to say if people came to attack you with guns and you only use a spear and a bow how are you supposed to protect anything? And i'm not saying Christopher Columbus killed all the Native Americans but he wasn't being nice eighter.
And yes maybe the native Americans attacked the Europians first but if some random person came into your house you would try to protect your home and family too.

They forced assimilation onto Native American children by separating them for their children and sending them to schools, forcing assimilation (Carlisle Indian school). Google this: Dawes Severalty act. This act dissolved tribes as legal entities, and legal ownership over their land was granted if they behaved like “good Americans”. Google this : the trail of tears. An event where America literally stole their land and killed native Americans. The only good law passed was the Indian reorganization act of 1934. Honestly people think they know history, they aren’t even taught the nitty gritty, and led to believe horrendous events weren’t as severe as they were. Okay! First off I'm going to take the definition of the word discovery. This is from The Oxford dictionary."find (something or someone) unexpectedly or in the course of a search." This is important because people need to understand that discovery does not mean to be the first to find something. I say this because if that wasn't the case, then the native americans didn't discover anything either because the bears and birds were here before them.

I am Filipino-American, but I shouldn't feel the need to have any emotional attachment on the basis of anyone on the past whom hasn't affected me directly but an appreciation of cultural roots and only as life lessons to progress from. A suggestion for a future video is the relationship triangle between empathy for humanity vs. entitlement vs. cultural background.

All the suicide rate, the poverty, the high drug use Etc that was systematically forced upon natives is brushed under the rug. At 1:46 when the old Indian guy said "They are going to have to face judgement." Exactly who is he talking about? I've studied Native American Indian culture for over 15 years now.
My wife is Chippewa tribe and she enlightened me to things that I learned in history that was utter BS! For example when European settlers came to America Indiana occupied 3% of the land and didn't even know oceans existed.
Also European settlers were welcomed to this country and lived under Indian law which provided you could occupy land for living, fishing, and hunting which they did.
It wasn't until the younger hostile Indians of certain tribes went into the European settlements at night and murdered men women and children that problems started to arise. The Chiefs of the tribes and the leader of said European settlement would meet and call a truths.
Again and again these Indian attacks continued until there were enough European settlers to stand their ground and fight back. Also European settlers brought inventions that Indians had never seen and both the Indians and Europeans shared these with one another.
Yes European settlers did bring small pox that killed many Indians, but Indians also had diseases Europeans had never been exposed to killing them.
There are so many lies that have been told about Christopher Columbus and the settlers that came with him. People should do their research throughly before making vulgar gestures.
Every race has committed atrocities in the past and nobody's hands are clean. So please do research and get a better understanding of what your speaking on.

Basically it's where these idiots film themselves harassing people (usually young black men in impoverished neighborhoods): pulling up people's sagging pants, ridiculing their clothes, picking at their pockets pretending to rob them, etc. Then when the victims of these so-called "pranks" justifiably start throwing punches, the "pranksters" yell "It'S jUsT a PrAnK bRo!" as they rightfully get their asses beat. These "pranks" have escalated to making a play on words- saying "Do you want these hands?" Which means "do you wanna fight," or saying "do you wanna buy a gun?" then pulling out a plastic water gun. Sooner or later these will escalate to something like "crashing a plane into a building prank" or "shooting up a school prank." So that's my joke in a nutshell- Columbus would probably make a video called "Native American genocide prank" if he was alive in 2015.

It's sad even what happened to Māori. Like when Europeans came and started trading goods and ripping people off and then creating war. I live near a pa site where there was once a war and all of the lessons about the battle side with the Europeans. I'm NZ European myself but it's just sad.

As an INDIAN (the country) it feels really bad what the true native people of the New World had to face because European powers set out to exploit once glorious my country. Eventually, they came and ravaged the subcontinent and South East Asia too...not to mention the whole African continent.

Well that's how it use to work. Not to mention even in India local kings use to fight huge wars. The battle of kalinga for example. Now the argument of British exploiting India it's true of course but many of ur kings sided with the British ruler in exchange for money, women etc. Should have grown ur army stronger and be more adventurous.

@@kenkaneki3020 National borders concept is relatively new. And it applies for most countries including Europe.
But due to the similar culture characteristics and history of more than 5k years it is called subcontinent..that's is India Pakistan bangladesh some parts of Afghanistan and even some parts of Myanmar erstwhile Burma. And that's what is known as British Raj. The british won India by divide and conquer and left by dividing the country leaving the Kashmir issue unresolved.
      P.S.
Read the travelogues of Ancient Chinese /Greek ambassadors...or even Mark Twain...and you will see why it is called Indian Subcontinent.
And battle of kalinga happened almost 2000 years ago..during the great Ashoka...who eventually spread Buddhism throughout Asia.
