I apparently have a rare PlayStation demo disc from Toys "R" Us. Seeing as it's a remnant from one of the most nostalgic places from my childhood; I had to get it when I saw it at the Thrift Store.

Remember how the demo version of Crash Bash included a cheat code that allowed you to access pretty much the entire game? Good thing nobody discovered that when the game was new
It's true, it did. In fact, if you accessed Crash Bash through Spyro 3, and then input the cheat code, you basically got 90% of the game, minus the final world's levels, if I recall. Fun fact, you get Homer and Bart's portraits in the Space Fox level in that build.

The Demo 1 that came with the PS1 changed over time. Mine is one of the really early ones with playable demos of Destruction Derby, Loaded, Toshinden, and Wipeout. Also have videos of the original Tekken, and warhawk among others.

The ploddy stalking song as you called it gave me some serious nostalgia as it was also used for the Winter Releases 98 demo, which was one of my favourites.
These demo disks are so important to me. The pizza hut demo of FF8 introduced me to the series, and then couple decades later I got to be in FF7R. Always gonna be grateful for that disc.
For me, the music and the cool graphical effects in the menus were the most nostalgic thing about these. I loved them so much and they introduced me to games i never would have known about otherwise.

These demo disks are so important to me. The pizza hut demo of FF8 introduced me to the series, and then couple decades later I got to be in FF7R. Always gonna be grateful for that disc.

For me, the music and the cool graphical effects in the menus were the most nostalgic thing about these. I loved them so much and they introduced me to games i never would have known about otherwise.
