Hey Ben. Unfortunately this is something we all go through. It just sucks more when you own it. Great job on the hose replacement and smart move moving up to a higher grade. Have a great weekend. Kenny
Hello Kenny, yes it is part of owing equipment. This is the 2nd hose, on the backhoe, that I have replaced. Strictly Hydraulics, in Dartmouth, made up the new hose for pretty much the same price as the lower PSI hose at Kubota. Have a good one, Ben 🚜🍻
I like your idea of using the wire loom protection in addition to the sleeve. You are rated to 5800 psi now. You should definitely be good to go. You are now 5x5 and mission ready
@@whenworkisplay you’re welcome. I also was already a subscriber to your channel. I didn’t realize I had my notifications off so I switched it over. I’ll check out your future videos. Have a good evening 👍
Glad to see that is was pretty accessible and an easy fix. I remember when working on the railway, how many hoses we would go through when the temps dropped below -30C. Very nice stream at the end.
How's she goin'? I guess if we use the gear we have to accept that it can break!! Good idea to get the higher pressure hose. That seems like a no brainer to me but I guess Kubota are trying to maintain the prices eh!! Glad you got it fixed Ben and now it's back in the saddle for some more tractor time eh!! Take care!!
Hello Mike, you are quite right, I do ask our little Kubota to be all ye can be . The higher PSI hose from Strictly Hydraulics, in Burnside, was pretty much the same price as the lower PSI hose from Kubota. Back in the saddle tomorrow 😎👍🚜 Have a good one, Ben 🍻
Hello Noel, just over 500 hrs on the tractor, it is 3 years old. This is the 2nd hose I have had to replace. Both ruptured, not chafed. The Strictly Hydraulics hose should do the trick. Looks like back on the tractor tomorrow 😎👍🚜🌾👻🕷🕸🎃🍻
Good evening Mike, yes I think the new hose will work out great! It was an easy install and I was back in the saddle in no time. Thanks for watching and commenting. Have a great week, Ben 👍🌾🍂🎃
And Here I am. Just replied to your comment on my video! 😊 Have a great weekend. A d that new hose will definitely be stronger with that rating. Well done.
Good Evening Sir, That is sooo not good when that Happen 🥴I like the way that you went with a stronger hydro hose Sir 👌👍😇 OUTSTANDING REPAIR SIR and have a very nice WEEK END Cheers 🍻🍻
Good evening Dave, happy Friday 😎👍🍻 I expect the higher PSI hose to stand up a little better. Thank you Sir and have a great weekend my friend, Ben 😎👍🚜🍻🎃🕸🕷
Good evening Mike, yes, looks like internal failure. Not hard to fix, just inconvenience. The new hose should do the trick. Have a great weekend, Ben 😎👍🍻
Good evening Del, this is actually the 2nd hose, on the backhoe, that has failed in this manner. The new hose should do the trick. Have a great weekend, Ben 🌾🍂🍁🎃
That was too easy, Ben! The lines on my backhoe seem to be more difficult to replace. I had to replace two of them due to operator error! 😅 That line is not only better but probably less expensive that the Kubota line. There's something with that expensive green, orange and red tractor paint that carries over into other parts.
Good evening Rick, I would love to know what your operator error was, I may be guilty of the same offense. Hope you are having a great weekend, Ben 😎👍🚜🌾🍂🍁🎃
@whenworkisplay The first one, I backed into a metal fire pit and cut the hose. The second one was on the outer end of the boom. I pinched it somehow but I don't remember how. It looked to me like your hose got pinched. I thought I saw a 'flat' spot on the hose, like it got squeezed.
@@twinbrookacres thanks for sharing your info. I don't think my hose was pinched, it is pretty protected... but I do pick up and carry large rocks in the backhoe bucket. That may have caused undue strain on the hydraulic system. I do realize that sometimes the problem is a loose nut behind the wheel 😀👍🚜 thanks for taking the time to help me. Ben
Good evening Luc, the new hose is still very flexible and pretty much the same price as the replacement from Kubota. This is the 2nd hose, on the backhoe, that I have replaced. It too had ruptured and showed no signs of chafe. You too Sir, have a great one, Ben 😎👍🍻🎃
The hose did not look very easy to access. The replacement looks a lot better. We had the main boom lift hose go on our backhoe and that made it very difficult to move into the workshop to fix. Great job on the repair
Good morning Joseph, it took a little bit to get the hose out but it was a pretty easy fix. Happy to have the higher PSI hose in its place. Hope you have a great day. Happy Halloween, Ben
Good day Ben! When that hydrolic fluid started spraying all I could see were $$$ ! Great job replacing it. Do you think the thinker new line might not like the cold as much or is it all rated for the same type of outdoor weather? Cheers, Alex.
Actually Alex, I am pretty sure it was me pushing my B2601 a little too much. The new hose is working out great. 🚜🪨👍 We love watching Meelo enjoying life. 🐾🐾👍
Ben I wondering if the backhoe cylinder is pushing pressure back into the system because the bucket is being forced open when operating it in a certain way. The pressure can spike well beyond the hose working pressure limit. Do you know what the burst rating and bend radius on the Kubota hose are? Is the new hose wire braided or sprial? Also, what is the temperature rating on the hoses?
Good morning Paul☕️, thank you for your insight. These are really good questions. I am going to have to do some research. I do ask a lot of my tractor. Thanks again Paul, have a great weekend, Ben 😎👍🚜
Oh man That’s a bummer! At least it was a hose that was easy to get at. Just curious but was there much of a cost difference between the hose you had made and the Kubota hose? Nice fix Ben and have a great week!
Good evening Justin, This hose was slightly more expensive than the Kubota hose, about $5 Canadian (.25c USD 😆👍) , but it was much more beefy, with a higher PSI rating. Thanks for tuning in, you too, have a great week, Ben 🍻
Good morning☕️ Strictly Hydraulics, 167 Trider Crescent, in Burnside. Great shop. Not far from another great shop Princess Auto. Have a great weekend, Ben 👍
Thanks Ben, good job on repair. You have a great evening.

That’s a bummer you had a line blowout unfortunately comes with running equipment. Nice to see you got a higher burst rating hose to replace it 👍
Thanks and it was quite easy to replace, the worst part was I had to go into the city😄👍 Thanks for watching and commenting. Have a good one, Ben

Kind of strange that it did that Ben. Not very old unit. Flaw in the hose may be. Great you got it fixed up quickly.
More seat time videos. 👍🏻👍🏻

I’m surprised to a hose burst like that. I haven’t heard of that happening. Good to see you got it fixed.

It’s weird it split with less pressure, was the new one harder to bend? Have a great one Ben 👍🏻🙂🙋🏼♂️🍻
