When I built my Vevor 3kw diesel heater, I built it in a waterproof hardcase with part of the exhaust running through the case to the outside marine exhaust port. The fresh air is ducted to the outside and the exhaust is wrapped. The diesel tank is mounted outside too but the fuel lines and pump are mounted inside where it probably gets to around 80-100 degrees inside. Keeps the pump and fuel warm and running at peak efficiency. Even cracked open it stays quite warm, zero gelling this year but i keep Kleen Flo 911 in case

Those newer latches are soooooooo much better than the old rubber ones! Everytime I see you latch them down Im so glad I upgraded from my rubber ones on my odyssey!
I always worried that my diesel heater was going to drain my battery in my truck. So I got a optima battery, and never has it drained the battery once, and was also running a fridge. Plus I make sure I have a clear spot on the floor for the heater, and just run it like that. Works perfect and no danger at all, and no risk of it falling etc. Don't over think these things. Pretty simple common sense solutions.
No better research, than to put yourself in extreme situations, with the gear you're putting your name behind. I know you didn't plan on the wind, but you couldn't have asked for a better case study. (Love the Jackery 240. Runs my fridge for the day, no problemo.)

Talon, Great videos. Have you tried reaching out to Ariel Ryder for their Grizzly or Juiced Bikes for their hyper scrambler 2 ? I think the juiced would be great for you because of the battery life as well as the speed but both bikes I think are superior.
@@TalonSei Good stuff. Picked up one of those Hcalory heaters that is in a pelican style case. It worked so well running off of my Jeeps dual battery setup, but having a portable power source would make it even better. These diesel heaters are a game changer for us who winter camp.

I put a SoftTopper on my Ram Power Wagon and I found sleeping the bed to be the best set up for sleeping in windy/cold weather.

I mix some gas in with the diesel when camping is very cold conditions. Works great.
We have the heavier duty dryer vent hose and ratchet strap to a metal step for the tires from Amazon just in case of wind lol
