I like that side opening basement, I would mod the bottom drive slot to fit a disk reader so I just open it up when I need to insert a cd/dvd
This case has potential on some great mods. I like your idea.

Or, stick a screen into the side of it, and on the other side directly behind the screen, have Raspberry Pi or Similar SBC (Single-board computer), with a SD card slot facing upwards, have it display system statistics, or custom visuals.
Other mods you could do are have the reservoir of a water cooling loop built into the side.....
Pop out floppy disk bay, for that retro feel. Or depending on your needs attach hot-swap sleds for drives to the actual side panel, with a shock absorber and a spring, push a button, or opens up just enough to access the hot SWAP bays, and for full access you just push the button in and hold it in to release, via a double-stage door latch.

Not even a compact atx! I hate it! More than 5 years waiting and stil has not found my dream pc case.
Not saying this case is not well made. Is great.
I just want matx/itx/compact/air flow/tempside panel/good quality. But there are allways 2 things missing. I'm sad. T_T

@@zorux6219 the Thetmaltake H18 TG meets most your your requirements, although since its sub 50 dollars quality might not be comparable to this, but I have no complaints with mine.

Was not expecting a case at this point to really get my attention but the Lancool II is very clean looking and its highly customizable configurations are well thought out as well. Kudos to Lian Li & thx Dmitry for another "Always professionally produced" video... 👍😎
I'm using Lancool II right now, thanks to this video, although airflow is not that great, but I really satisfied with all those feature, aesthetic & clean look. I rarely use this PC for hard work anyway

If you think about it, it's perfect for those who want a solid case and don't want the extras that other makers include to jack up the price. Lian Li includes only the features that most people would probably agree they would want the most, and the rest are add-ons for the few people who want them. You wind up not paying over $150 out the door for features that are not necessary to most.
@@StarionX yeah I totally agree! I think this case is pretty sick and I actually like the idea of accessories! Its a great way to get into Lian Li cases! its also cool cause people like me who have mostly gotten rid of sata drives and those who don't have a usb-c header on their mobo can still have an awesome case without paying for extra features they don't need! I would have definitely upgraded my case to this if i wasn't so fixated on SFF cases and if I didn't just by a new case 2 weeks ago 😂If you really want the rights to flex with a Lian Li case without spending the dollars on one, this is definitely the way to go.

@@ynie1 that´s garbage when it comes to performance. It´s loud as fuck, and if it´s not loud, it´s average as fuck.
i would approve this, except im a 280mm (140mm fan) user on all so this case is no option again for me like the 011D.. only the XL intersting but way overpriced for me.
Niche mini itx cases, but even then those are getting cheaper too.
I still like the H710 from NZXT the most, just for the looks. I know airflow is shit.
But if all you need is performance, the Lancool has you covered in almost all areas.
Only exceptions would be specific radiator requirements, lots of 3.5 drive mounts etc.
Lian li has always been a front runner in innovation since their early days.

I remember years ago when they were the tacky over the top styling brand you'd avoid. They've come a LONG way since then.
I saw this case today on Gear Seekers and it was love at first sight. Can't wait to grab one for my next build.
All the extras, removable panels, modularity, etc. for $89? It seems like a pretty good deal indeed!
Always wanted this modularity. Specially the hot swappable Hdd trays with data connectors. I even got an accessory for that but it doesn't work very well. Good to see something like this integrated in the case itself. Also the glass with cable management covers is pretty neat too.

Lian-Li's take on the Meshify-C looks like a decent improvement with some great utilitarian and aesthetic features.

@@jkenlive LOL... slowly ordering parts for a new PC and the Meshify C was my pick... operative word is "was". Now, can we actually get one of these anywhere? Just checked... Newegg will have them on 12/10/19.
But no 280mm for me.. rly sad.. not even lian li can do it only on their over 200 buck 011XL..

Still a great review. Didn't know you could swap that cable shroud around. Saved me $150-$200 from getting an E-ATX case
By painting (or vinyl) the rear panels with different colors, or tones, a beautiful Mondrian style composition is obtained.
It’s so strange how lacking in creativity most cases are given how easy and cheap it is to add try new things
making factory molds for new things is not cheap at all...RnD for testing stuff isnt either. hence why we see so many rehashed cases with a different frontpanel or fans. (ie corsair, phanteks recent cases). But great Lian LI is upping the game now

IDK what you mean, it's pretty safe to bet that making completely new mass-produced case would cost millions of dollars.
You guys, they come up with new cases all the time, and many of the upgrades seem to be totally different in shape and are incompatible with the previous cases. That means that they are brand new designs that cost just as much to make as a newly developed case, in which case (no pun intended), they might as well add cool mods to them... I know that they rehash cases too but, lets be real now, most companies design completely different cases all the time too and it seems like they are going out of their way to make a generic uncreative one if its so true that new designs cost more upfront.
I was debating between this, the NZXT H510i, and Corsair 220T. I think this video pretty much seals the deal that this case is the best one for me at this price point.
My kids just got me this case for Xmas. WOW is about all I can say. This case far exceeded my expectations for a case under $100. Not sure if I'm moving everything over or order i9-10900k and new MoBo first.

After searching so many cases, with be quite, cooler master, MSI and like msi gungnir. I will end up buying this one. I still have a Blu-ray drive and use it. so this chassis will just be ideal and perfect for my needs.
This is a fantastic case but I realise the guy sold me this version instead of the mesh which has better cooling. I wonder if I can find a cheap mesh replacement front. It's an amazing case otherwise engineered sooooo well
The case should be wider so that you can install at the very least 3*140 fans or 2*200 fans. I know that Dmitri likes smaller cases, I prefer cases a bigger than the standard midtower. Case and point, when I have mounted a D15 in a Fractal S - one of the bigger midtower-cases - I struggle to plug in the fan-header, a larger case would solve that problem. It might be a bad positioning of the motherboard by Fractal, or maybe it is the motherboard (X570 Elite). We don't need space for large drive cages anymore, we still need the space though. Obviously what we really need is a successor of ATX but the responsible companies refuse to do that because none of them takes the initiative.
This isn't just a cool case, but a really good base for a Star Wars Mod. I love the mesh with white backlight 😍
PLEASE MAKE A MINI ITX EXACT SAME DESIGN VERSION OF THIS CASE LIAN LI!! PLASE! THE DESIGN IS ART IN THIS CASE! ONLY NZXT LIKE IT! OTHER BRANDS IS SOO DISTANT FOR THIS DESIGN LEANGUAGE!
While the case does have a ton of features, to me it looks super boring.
They need to make this exact case with a smaller form factor like atx or micro atx

Do you need a 3-pin 5v header on your motherboard to use the LEDs in this case? Interested in buying this case but my motherboard only has 4-pin 12v headers.
What's up with the pops in the audio? I thought I had DPC latency issues but rewinding the video multiple times shows that it's an issue on you guys' end.

Worthy successor to the Meshify C, although this one is made by Lian Li. Damn good case with lots of bells and whistles one needs
I haven't seen a case win an award in??? I really don't remember when. Glad this case won one. I won't be getting it as I want to get more years out of my Corsair A540; that's a kick as case. (:

After confused choosing between Super Flower Leadex III and Seasonic Plus Gold that took me for about 2 days and ended up purchasing the Leadex III. Now this case released 😑, why this case should released when I already wanted to take the Phanteks P400A Digital? Big thumbs up for the hotswap backplane. Can you buy a second 3 drive bay? Looks like it could probably be fitted on the top side. Just wish it had 4 USB ports up top and a RGB and window delete option.

I would just cover the cable card part with vinyl electrical tape to be safe. Wont notice it behind the gpu.

I like the little basement door. And the front panel pogo pins. And lots of airflow. It's well designed. It's not the prettiest but it's not the ugliest either. I will be recommending it to people for sure.

There are so many things they did right with this chassis, like the option for a HDD backplane, the filtering and the airflow. I even like the looks of it, mostly. It's just all that glass...
Yea I know, glass is seen as a necessity today. Can't have a nice chassis without a glass door (well it seems Fractal can, but from other manufacturers they are rare today). It's just that I don't like havin a window into my computer. I don't need to see the insides of it every time I look at it, and as you might have guessed I couldn't care less about RGB on the motherboard, graphics card, memory modules, HSF, PSU or the drives. And as for the external drive bay I happen to still use optical media for some things, and I really do not like external USB drives though I guess that eventually I will have to use them.
$90, ok, even maybe $120, but Amazon has this for $193 plus $115 shipping (this item is not eligible for Prime) so $308??? I'll pass

I bought every accessory but the USB-C cable for front I/O.
The feature sets of this case at $90 seem too good to be true...I do see some hints that the materials used may be sub-par, but still.
