I love that he pointed out that when women wear pants it's "strong", but if a man wears a dress it's "disgusting". It's so ingrained in many societies that dressing like a man "elevates" a woman with power, while a man dressing like a woman "lowers" him to the level of a woman, which is somehow bad. This is true of anything that's considered feminine- makeup, fashion, showing emotions etc. It's such a fundamentally negative flaw in our society that needs to be changed if we're going to accept each other for who we are. Guys and girls and everyone in-between, you go be the best version of yourself, you have this stranger on the internet's support. You do you!
This also helps me understand why some women (who tend to work corporate jobs) are resistant to wearing skirts or dresses. I was one also, I bought into the "pants make me more powerful" belief.
When I came out as Transgender to my family which was like a death to them, I had to work 5 years to get their acceptence but its worth it. I think all familys are able to love their children uncondicinally. Just sometimes we have to support our familys and not our familys us
