I remember growing up listening to Island heat because of my dad and uncles, then i remember growing up with Baxkyahd and Sly dog music as well because having my uncle as the drummer on backyahd and knowing Uncle Poncho on Sly dog. Those were the days.
Yup I was there at that concert in Kona. I born on Maui got in trouble and had to move to the Big island Kohala. 96 to 2001 when I graduated I not sure what year was the time of that concert 98 or 99. But before the concert brah the whole island was pounding Sly Dog in the vehicles and brah time of the concert pretty much everybody went for see sly dog. Bah mean. And me living up there full born Maui boy from Lahaina Reping Brown Skin Hui bah was action.
I remember sly dog back yaad live and direct fo free kaahumanu shopping center was the most people I've ever seen at the mall wish we had cell phones like we have today
