We recently went away to a lakeside cottage for a week with family (aka nongamers) and we brought a literal tub full of games (25, most of which were mid-weight bigger boxes and only one was a button shy), we also bought 5 while on the trip. Never too many games!
Great video. Im with you Michelle, you need options for any mood. We went to Nova Scotia for a week and filled half a suitcase, played only Azul travel but still worth it.
I always like to pack my game bag when traveling. I usually bring the big version of Azul, with all the components in the bag and the boards in a stable area of the bag. Then I like to fit more games in one box. For example I have Codenames: Pictures, Bang the Dice Game, and Sushi Go Party all in the Codenames box. I also brought Heat over the summer by putting all the cards in one box, and the rest of the components in a separate area of the bag. The boards were together with the Azul boards. Magic Maze is also a good game box that I like to stuff with other small games. Each box gets really heavy though!
The debating between you and Billie is so funny! I feel your pain, Michele. I gotta say, I NEVER feel like I packed too many. I have felt like I back too few....just sayin'! 😆Bringing games to learn is always fun, imo, when traveling/vacationing. Billie's 'push your luck' at the end...love it! Did it work?
Omg this is me. I’m going to Disney where I will obviously be too tired and too busy to play a single game. But I currently have about 15 put aside to be packed 😂
LBI? Spent my summers one block from the Custard Hut. Haven't been in a few years, but need to get back. But I feel like Beacon Patrol is on my "must bring" list.
Beacon Patrol seems like the right choice to me! We have been going down to LBI for the last 25 years or so. My husband always went as a kid. Love it there.
ButtonShy games .... count as 1? They take up the space of one but each game can be very rich and fulfilling. So I think each ButtonShy should count on its own.

It's even more important to have choices when you have non-gamers! You need to see what mood they'll be in!

You only played one but you had choices!

You have to use all your space wisely! Sounds like you have a good system.

Even though we only played about half, I still argue that we brought the right amount! 🤣
Absolutely, no doubt, 100% agree 😆
Have a great beach vacation! This video is totally me when I’m packing for the beach. You never know what you’ll want to play!
Exactly! You need options!

You always need the option to play! When are you going to Disney? We're going soon as well!
@@SecondStartotheLeft this weekend! What about you?
Beach house sounds fun! My family never wants to play as much as I want. But that's ok. I can do Sudokus with my mum.
That sounds fun too! I always bring more than we play lol

Man I bet Chicken! Really screws with your packing situation lol.
Tubes! They don't fit as well 😃
"You planned a sacrifice game" 😂
Haha, I admit nothing! (But maybe...) 🤣
How did you determine where to put the battling with Billie time stamp. That could cover most of the channel.
It is tough to choose 🤣
I took three days on a two night campout. I played one and brought two out (Turned out to be too tired to learn new rules for SUper Slopes.)
(The game that actually got played is Grove --sequel to Orchard -- which I was really surprised not to see.
It's always funny to see what gets packed and what gets played!
Ohh what was the deck box you used for Lorcana?
Those are lovely deck boxes that are made by someone at our FLGS
I'm learning Spanish. Here's another language. "Gracias por ver"
🧡
13:10 "....because you care" 🤣🤣🤣
That's Billie 🤣

I agree that they're each full games! But if I argue that they're "one" because they fit in one bag, I get to bring more!
