Let's Play Norland | Kaiden Ironcoast Gameplay Episode 4 | Advancing our Economy

- Join me as I play Norland as the Kaiden Ironcoast! Norland is a colony sim similar to Rimworld or Stranded: Alien Dawn, however it takes place in a fictional medieval land. You control a noble family as they navigate life using diplomacy, trade, intrigue, and warfare. You'll also need to manage their personal relationships, including marriage and raising children.
This Let's Play series will be using a beginner guide format, with a goal of teaching new players how to play while also entertaining with the developing story of Ragnar, Aslaug, & Guthrum, as well as their descendants.
In episode 4 we research and construct a training ground, a coal furnace, a scaffold, and a paper workshop. We also hire our first free lord, construct a separate market & tavern for our warriors (so we can give them access to more food types than peasants), and turn our workshop on to start producing bows, tools, & daggers. I go over how the scaffold and punishments work, direct orders, bandit camps, and the consequences of infidelity (cheating on spouses).

Oh I think I got the hang of startin out this time, with the combat lord brother freeing the trader queen right after morning prayers and catchin 5 for sale maybe tonight or tomorrow?, might of been a little better with more manners teaching on the king that's pretty young anyway?,
but I definitely should of kept an eye on buyin more rye compared to the price of flour last time. And with the king holdin down the two day zero warehouses, library, barracks and one or two lumbermills, and a level 3 merc on the way,
it's gotta be a little easier hardcore start than no scenario anyway, and with room for a road around all the buildings, and without wanting as many envy inducing rings, but I guess it's not a bad idea to keep the bishop happy, with a majority fanatical yellow mood, and a strong emphasis on default faction map settings for the most active scenarios and alliances, starting with tenaya in sparksville again this time, and makhas in the southeast, and varnland in the north.? Yikes, and a dorm, altar, and rutabaga field with the prisoners to sell tomorrow night, and have to buy more prisoners decreasing growth from 4 to 3 usually I guess, but I definitely took the guy off the market on day zero as the true test, lol, and oh ya I think my king knows +50% construction speed?

Well that could have happened even if Ragnar wasn't lustful, as he does have a very close relationship with his sister-in-law. Lustful certainly makes it more likely that he cheats though lol.

They've been doing balance patches every day since release - honestly I advise to just leave the tutorial bar full, dont worry to keep clearing them, it'll be back tomorrow
Yeah I've been noticing the constant patches, but most don't cause issues with help section. I don't want to leave them there because it takes up too much of the screen.

heck yeah guthrum wife v 2.0.. btw thought it was pronounced how you were saying it - but I googled it and it seems you do pronounce the Th, not a hard T
Yeah seems to be some disagreement over this, as I started pronouncing that way after hearing others do so and after viewers in the comments of another video told me to. I personally don't know the correct way, and was going off of others.
