Thanks! I used blade baits and spoons more in the deep, clear reservoirs of Northern California and also on trips to Dale Hollow, Cumberland, Guntersville...always catching bigs on them... but for some reason I never used them locally! New plan for this year! 🤣
Awesome fishing content especially in December. Most regular boaters already winterized their boats and done till the spring, not us. Nice Hybrid! That's usually my target fish at Kiser Lake. They are some big ones at that lake on the bottom in the middle. I'll try the blades next time. Usually I'm trying natural swimbaits. -TJ

I saw you posted on the COKL, I hope you can do those, they would be a great low-key way to meet more of the local anglers! In 2024, I'm fishing all of the Cincinnati Kayak Fishing Trail and the new Ohio Kayak Fishing trail, you should check those schedules out and see if anything looks good to you! For some of them we all try to get campsites near each other and have a community fire to hang out and tell fish stories, it is so much fun!
You would think they wanted something slow on the bottom in those cold temps, but three of the four of us were only getting bit on a blade bait (while Chris was sight fishing with a jig!).
I am in love with East Harbor off of Lake Erie and a lot of my buddies love West Harbor, too, I just can't stop fishing East Harbor enough to go explore West! A couple times a year we camp at East Harbor State Park or Nimisila State Park and fish tournaments up there.

I've never caught a hybrid at Kiser, I need to get back out there. I usually end up in the lily pads playing with a frog. 🤣

@@GirlGoneFishing look up 'Boone Boys'. They always dead stick plastic during the winter. I do the same for white bass and stripers.
