Today we're looking at one of the most underrated Model:Cycles features, which is the ability to use velocity as a modulation source! Most users are aware of the Cycles' LFO, but I see very few people utilizing velocity! Just like with the LFO, you can use velocity to modulate just about any parameter you'd like. The Elektron sequencer makes this even more powerful with how easily adjustable velocity is per step. Don't forget that you can use both LFO and velocity modulations at the same time too! You can hold a step and then hit the track buttons(t1-t6) to change the velocity quickly

if the track is melodic/diatonic, the velocity changes like it should but the note will be whatever the track button's(T1-T6) default pitch is set in the track setup menu(func+track).

hi, looks like you didn't upgrade the pads to get better response. I did the mod when i got the m:c, it is not complicated.

ahhh, but 'underrated' is the clickbait of modern times, and nearly always used in the wrong context when the term should be 'over-looked/under-valued/under-appreciated. It's the new 'irony' my friend.
I keep trying to cycle (Ha!) my Cycles out of my live hardware setup in favor of newer gear, but I keep coming back to it.
