      Bob Barker is still with us , he is 99 yrs old though , so I’m sure a decent amount of the contestants that were on the show are probably still alive

    Holy Crap! I still have a Ti99/4A in the original (though somewhat beat up) box with the manuals and everything. No monitor, it worked with any analog TV.

    I just wanna get to know Bert and Gladys. The second I heard Sundqvist was their last name I knew "They gotta live in Minnesota" and sure enough, she says she does. Scandinavians all can recognize this. Sadly, Gladys passed on long ago, as she would be 110 this year.

    I would have taken $500 and quit with one punch to go. Yes I know that may not be the best move, but there's that risk of getting a lower amount when giving it back. If it was the first punch with three to go, I would have given it back. It's just one of those days where it didn't work out that way for the contestant with just $50 at the end...

    There are two $10,000, three $5,000, five $1,000, ten $500, ten $250, ten $100, ten $50 and four "Second changes". That's 54 prizes, but there are only 50 punch slots.

      You can program your grocery list into it. So you have a non-portable list you can only view on your TV at home.

    In 1983, $500 would have been a lot of money to give up. If it were me, I would have kept it. That's like giving up on $3,000 in today's money.

      Nah all those prizes come with 1099's attached, it's free to win so it's always best go for all the marbles, She already had a few prizes to keep so anything she gained was already profit. Game shows usually punish those without the guts to press on that 1 more time, you might not win the big prize every time but it's never worth it to just keep 2nd or 4th best.

      And especially if there was one more punch to go - maybe if there were three punches to go, I would have given it back. Sometimes it's the luck of the draw that really kicks in for this game especially where the slips with all the money are put in each hole.

    Damn, Bob Barker with brown hair, and Rod Rodney ( I think that is his name ) calling the contestants to come on down. This is quite an old episode. Plus, look at that Texas Instruments home computer. That was certainly state of the art...For 1983 lol...Great show though...I do not know who was the better host. Bob Barker, or Alex Trebek> I would probably say, Alex Trebek...What are other peoples opinions? Leave comments here, I would like to know other peoples choices..

    $50 is a small mount or money. Now the lowest is $100 which is better than $50. It was more than what she walked with.
