As a die-hard Ford driver, I can say I have no interest in this slightly melted VW crossover thingy. What were Ford huffing when they thought any of this was a good idea?
@@BrianTwomey-g4u as I explained in the video, this is not for the die hard Ford customer who knows what Capri stood for. They are just using the name to gain some publicity. In this day and age, if they released a True successor for the original Capri (namely a Coupe, sports car), it would've been a flop. People are not buying that type of car anymore. This is the only shape acceptable by most customers:an SUV.
@GabrielNica But they already have a range of melted looking SUVs to flog to customers. The Explorer is basically the same car only cheaper. They use Capri tag-lines 'the legend is back' and say they used the original as a starting point and then phone in this mess. The new R5 isn't an SUV and the place is abuzz about it. And look at the new Honda Prelude, a coupe.
Just another bland SUV shopping cart for people who don’t like driving. Certainly won’t see many people bragging they have a new Capri. If it were me, I’d save myself the embarrassment and cash by buying something more stylish.. the new R5 perhaps.
I like it. They probably should have called it the mondeo though. I can look past that. Definitely interested.

The legend is dead. Și-au bătut joc de un nume care a însemnat ceva cândva. Dar nu ar fi prima oară pentru Ford.

This is no legend. 🥱
