Hello, how old is the CNC, I'm not sure if I would be so casual with bearings falling apart and electrical issues on what looks to be a relatively new machine. They brag about the longevity of bearings over rack and pinion, now I'm torn. I really can't decide on who to buy, I'm in Canada and I would have to go to the States to pick it up and then parts and service become another issue.
Thank you for posting this video, we bought a Pro 408. We don’t have it hooked up yet but hopefully soon!!
Absolutely. Major purchase decisions require extensive research. Good luck with the setup!
Great advice here! Someday I will expand to equipment like this. My woodshop is a part time venture, so I know I would benefit from the time savings once volume supports it.
Im set on the pro 408 in a couple years
good luck
@@mywoodworkinglife are they any good ?
@@troymartell151 2 years in and I have had no major issues. Replaced a few minor parts (sensor and bearing block), but had minimal downtime. I would consider a second machine from them, but will evaluate the market at that time because it’s the right thing to do. Hope this helps.
Im Think of buying IS 408
Great stuff! How does Shop Sabre compare to Legacy Maverick? I’m shopping for cabinet building.
I did not evaluate that machine in my search. The Shop Sabre has the ability to work with Mozaik and KCD which I understand are two of the top packages many run. I ended up choosing the Shop Sabre due to the cnc controller software which was similar to what I have used in the past and it is very user friendly. There are a plethora of machines out there that are designated for cabinet production, maybe too many to do full evaluations.
@mywoodworkinglife I would love to pick your brain and experience some! How would I get in touch with you?
