Correction, the back side was done at the same settings as the green layer, except with a crosshatch and a line after fill set to 500 speed, 55 power and 20 frequency.
playa those glasses you're rocking are freaking tight as! Good looking
Thanks! I have a bunch of them.
Just a note to say Leo of Roly has been great in his response to my emails and questions. My laser is paid for and being shipped. Best customer support of any company I have had an interface with. Looking forward to my new Roly laser.
Awesome! Great to hear! Everyone seems to be having the same experience...
Hope you and yours are OK after the storms. Take care.
Glenn
No storms here Glenn, but thanks for the concern!
WOW!! Those came out beautiful!!!😊😊
Thank you John! 😊 Quick and easy business cards.
Thanks, great video. I have been looking at the Cloudray fiber lasers and had no idea about the many different material settings on a single card. Good luck on your fishing trip.
Glad you enjoyed it Ed! You'll have to come down for a fish fry!
Awesome job thanks
I make metal business cards myself
Thanks for watching Robert!
Hi Rich. Another good video. One thing about your videos that I noticed that can happen when I watch some of them is that there is a good possibility I’ll want to spend money on a new machine or accessory…
🤐 Uh oh! 🤪
Thank you yoda for all your videos, i know for me they have helped so much on my laser journey. Send me pictures of your catch next week.
Will do Jim!
Great job 👍
Thanks David!
love that wireless mouse trick from afar! LOL
You and me both Joseph!
Thanx Rich!
You bet Dirk! Thanks for watching!
This video is awesome! I see that you have what looks to be a piece of leather laying there… will the fiber laser do veg tan leather?
Yes it does!
The front side looked like it did 3 passes. Horizontal, Vertical, and some kind of group cleanup pass. What did that setup look like in Lightburn? You said it was like your back side - green layer- 1 pass. Just curious how that is setup.
The black layer was done at the same settings as the green layer, except with a crosshatch and a line after fill set to 500 speed, 55 power and 20 frequency John. Blooper...
So happy I found your channel. I should receive my 3oW Friday and I'm excited to get started! I went to check out the free library you have in the link but I'm not able to see it. It says I'm not authorized to view your library
You have to be a member and signed into the forum to see the free downloads.
thanks for the great videos!! what material would you recomend for marking fruit trees outdoors? I need to mark a few hundred trees with something that can put up with sun and rain for at least a few years. I was looking at the aluminum business cards but I don't know how they'll do outdoors. anything around 4x3 inches should do. thanks again!... btw I have a diode laser.
I have used these for vehicle tags for a shipyard. The ones on the scooters are out in the elements and are just fine after 2 years.
Amazing! Thanks rich! Are the aluminum cards you are using painted or anonadised ?
I use both types. In this video, they were painted. They both hold up to the weather.
Good video and I'm intrigued with your vacuum table. I used to have one in my woodworking shop as a sanding platform and it worked well. Where did you get this one?
I made it Larry. It's just a table with a 4" hole and standard hose adapter bolted on. Then I made a gasket for the perimeter of the laser bed, to elevate it so the suction is from all of the holes in the bed.
Can you point me to a good Fiber Laser comparison? This monport looks good. I'm wondering about Laser Pecker and Xtool F1 for portability for craft markets and such. Thanks! Love your videos!!
The Laser pecker and F1 aren't in the same class. Check out Laser Everything on YT to see real fiber laser comparisons.
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy Awesome, Thank You! I know you hear this all the time, but I have learned a college degree worth of knowledge from you in the last 10 months or so! I can't thank you enough!
Hi sir i got longmill cnc 6×4 working area and I have fitted outur master 3 on it also I am learning from you I am actually inspired by you sir iwant make my first job with you sir
Thanks!
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy sir can you please tell me the speed and power limits for cut and engraving by outur laser Master 3 and few websites where I can download the engraving and cutting designs please 🙏
You can get all the info and files you need on my free forums. lahobbyguy.com/bb
I did not see the channel for the 30W laser settings. :/
The link to the topic on my free forum is in the description: lahobbyguy.com/bb/viewtopic.php?p=20197
Hi there. I see you have a 1.4.00 version of Lihgtburn where did you get it from I can't find it I only have a 1.3.01, I run windows. I live i Denmark.
1.4 isn't available to the public yet. I get it to Beta test and make sure the bugs are worked out before it's released Dennis.
You mentioned you had a powerful exhaust fan. Can you share what one it is please.?
It's an HVAC fan, installed by my son and designed by my friend that has an AC company. Nothing special except the ducting.
Which thickness do your blanks have? Do you have any issues with warping? Some people say that is an issue when engraving business cards. Thanks in advance.
I use the super thin ones on the fiber laser for myself and the thicker ones on the Co2 or diode. The fiber runs it so fast you don't have to worry about warping if your settings are right.
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy thanks for the quick response
Is there a 20W library available? Thanks!!!
Yes, on my forum in the members only downloads.
como puedo bajar libreria porque no tengo nada
They're on my free forums. lahobbyguy.com/bb
What machine would you recommend for business cards engraving?
For business cards like these, a fiber laser. Any fiber laser will do the job.
Sent you a Christmas 3d printed ornament to the address on the box you sent. Same ornament as I sent Steve when I got his address.
Awesome! Can't wait to see it!
What kinds of mattel your card
Anodized aluminum.amzn.to/3TKYfHI
Can you engrave wood with this?
Yes you can.
You said you mainly do cards on your 20w. Could you do coins on a 20w or 30w? Would it just take longer than your 100w? Or is it not possible?
Well the 100W is a MOPA with 10x the frequency and power, so that's best for taking off large amounts of material. But yes, I can use the 20W, but it would take a lot longer to do Brian, and the colors are limited.
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy thank you for the reply. I’m still learning and looking at a fiber laser to start. Then a co2. Definitely sold on Monport for the co2 in the future. Price and options are tough to beat. Not sure about a fiber. So far looking at the Noua smart2 30w Raycus.
The Noua is a good brand Brian. Good luck!
Just a quick question have you ever used the multi layer materials for lasers?
From companies like Trotec?
Yes, I use Scot-ply and Rowmark Lasermax a lot.
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy Sounds like a similar product, I have the Ortur 10 watt and your library, should I start with acrylic settings to test the layer depth?
I do the Scot-Ply multi color at 2350 mm/min and 40% power on my 10W laser.
Looks great but fiber Lazser out of my price range.
Lasers have no budget! 🤪
Rich, I know wrong topic and format, but I am now banned from your forums after posting one message (regarding availability of Roly Lasermatic). I did not post abusive comments. So confused.
