I'd rather have Sheila than either of them! Speaking of which, this is where the Morgan storyline starts following the Sheila storyline from Y&R. Sheila, too, schemed to get pregnant by Scott while he was married to Lauren, but because Ridge is a little less intelligent that Scott, Morgan doesn't even need to get him unconscious, she just needs to send him an e-mail.
What made Sheila so compelling (aside from being played by a great actress) was that we saw her carry out her schemes and plans in pedantic detail. But here Morgan forges an email from Taylor and we didn’t see her do any of it? This is an example of why Morgan just isn’t fun or exciting to watch. So much of her story happens offscreen, including the entire backstory of the abortion that’s driving all this drama! It’s bad enough that the character isn’t interesting and the actress isn’t charismatic but now we don’t even get the perverse pleasure of seeing her do sneaky stuff. It makes it hard to care about her or this storyline.
Yup. Or even wayyy back in tge day seeing Steph hire a forger on screen, so WE KNEW where the fake Eric letter came from. I guess the writers thought there should be a "shock factor" when we find out it's really Morgan 🙄
@@TriniT21 Exactly! This lame email plot doesn't even have the detail and panache of Stephanie forging that letter from Eric. Also remember how Ridge went over to Stephanie's and demanded to see the letter? He was inherently suspicious and it took forged handwriting, Eric's stationery and a postmark to convince him. Where's _that_ Ridge now??
YES! It's that "surprise vs suspense" dichotomy again that you've been talking about. Suspense is watching Sheila do her thing, day in and day out. Surprise is one moment of "oh, it was Morgan who wrote the e-mail".
@@annieo6527 Exactly! Also when you see a villain go through the careful steps of a plan, it makes them more relatable. Think about Sheila tampering with Bridget's paternity test for instance. It's not that the viewer wants her to do that but when she's your point of entry into those scenes, you end up rooting for her not to get caught and you feel her frustration when she can't get the passcode or when Mike fiddles with the test tubes.
@@NewYorkNick0607yes - in a way, the weakness in Morgan's characterization mirrors the weakness in Becky's characterization. In both cases, we are missing their point of view which makes their storylines less compelling.
Why da heck doesn't Becky GO TO THE DOCTOR??? 🙄🙄🙄🙄 Didn't she look at herself in the mirror? She literally looks like she's on her last leg. And speaking of legs, she can barely walk. Even the priest took one look at her and knew something was wrong with her. It would have been such a great plot twist if Becky really knew all along, but she was really playing everyone.
Yes, it really makes no sense. There is no way a person as ill as Becky would not go see a doctor, rather than rely on that one doctor she saw months ago and never heard from again supposedly saying there was nothing wrong.
The fact that Ridge would sleep with someone because he gets an e-mail is just so hilarious. Maybe the writers were going for a cautionary tale about the perils of the big bad lnternet... 😂
Listen, this is the same guy who slept with Brooke bc she got a "letter" from his father saying he could. I thought after that, he'd learn to at least double check b4 sleeping with someone he prob shouldn't. 😑
If I have to see Amber bawling about Becky. One. More. Time. 🙄 How is Amber talking all these grown adults into carrying on this charade? Even Becky's parents?? This is the stupidest storyline. If they were trying to make this like the Caroline d y I n G storyline, they are failing miserably.
So instead of telling Becky she’s sick and getting her the worlds best healthcare/doctors money can buy y’all sorry arses are just watch her slowly die? This is one of thee dumbest/insulting storylines.
Come on you can't tell me Becky hasn't thought "Gee maybe I should go to the hospital because I'm getting worse." I hate that they are making her out to be naive. If they would have told her sooner maybe she could have gotten chemo or at least some sort of hospice care.
So Tawny who stole her niece’s baby to give to Amber to raise and tell her husband this is his child since his real child died, is now giving a lecture to Amber about the importance of being truthful and not keeping secrets? Oh the irony. Here goes Amber angry with her mother for wanting to be honest about her cousin’s health as if it’s HER decision on what she should know is just aggravating to watch. She clearly hasn’t learned anything from her last experience from her lying to rick about his son dying, which it hard to root for her or even like her. Meanwhile Becky is looking like a corpse and no one is stopping this and just telling her the truth smh.
On the 46th day of this storyline Brad 🔔sent to me, Amber, Stephanie, Eric, Sally, Clarke, CJ, Darla, Joe, Tilly, Tawny, _three_ doctors... and a partridge in a pear tree. But still not Becky.
This has stretched way beyond believable. A person knows when they are not well. She is 19 and would have to realize she is ill AND it keeps getting worse. She’s also so so pale. That would scare the heck out of me.
As angry at Amber is at Tawny, she doesn’t see that she’s doing the *exact* thing she hates Tawny for - lying and deceiving in the name of love, and convincing herself the deception is for the dupe’s good. Apparently Amber has learned nothing from the terrible outcome of Tawny’s “for your own good” deception. The Ridge and Morgan email thing -what can I say? We have reached peak stupidity and incredulity.
I have to agree with Amber when she said CJ and Becky will have the REALEST Marriage. They certainly are REALER than THORNE..... He knows NOTHING about keeping vows...For Better or Worse, ln sickness and Health and DEFINITELY Knows NOTHING About Forsaking All Others
Even though Becky doesnt know about her cancer it doesnt make sense that she doesnt ho back to the doctor as she has been sick for weeks now and she doesnt seem thats weird. Makes no sense.
As far as crazy ladies with baby schemes go, I'd rather have Tawny than Morgan.
Me too.
At least tawny is outright scheming
I'd rather have Sheila than either of them!

During the last episodes Becky's health obviously declined. She now so obviously looks ill. Even the reverend wondered about it.

Didn’t they regress Becky’s appearance way to much? Last time we saw her, she looked completely normal
This is Taylor’s fault for being so delusional and letting Morgan get so close
