Taylor realizing why Sheila changed Mary's name to Erica is what ultimately seals her fate. Until this point, Taylor hasn't really played an active role in what has been going on this night, but now, for the first time, she _anticipates_ Sheila's next move, realizes that Sheila wants to see Eric, and goes to the mansion to warn him. And this is just the kind of deliberate choice that is needed to make her sacrifice _make sense_ in the end, rather than just being an unfortunate case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Taylor _chooses_ to put herself in Sheila's path out of a selfless desire to protect Eric first, and then Brooke.
How ironic and beautiful, this beginning moment. What ties the bind between Amber and Stephanie is that they both saved each other from Sheila. A life for a life, an eternal dept to be repaid.
I'll never understand why Sheila never went after Eric. He was cruel to her multiple times, yet she's never actively tried to unalive him. It's so unlike Sheila.
I know Amber is the victim here, but she still annoys TF out of me (her calling someone else trash? Really.), while I still find Erica to be a sympathetic character. She did a lot of wrong things, but she really does seem like a screwed-up kid.
I agree. There's something about Amber judging Erica for going along with her mother's scheme, after Amber went along with Tawny's baby steaIing scheme and kept the death of Rick's baby from him for a whole year.
Amber just falls flat to me. I can't even bring myself to care what happens to her. BTW.. If they were going this way, this whole story needed the addition of Tawny to be fighting with Sheila
Erica is very bland in these scenes, her being revealed and all. There is no expression, no emotion really, showing no shame or guilt, shedding no tears
For some asinine reason Sheila keeps acting like she was still married to Eric the last time she left LA. Girl you were married to James. Her marriage to Eric wasn't even valid. Eric cut ties with Sheila in 1995, he detached from her emotionally in 1993, long before her secrets came out.

If there's one thing to view from Lauren Fernmore's bad experiences with Sheila in Y&R, is that you can't bring lies and manipulation in the form of love, no matter how desperately you want it or need it. Noooooohooohooooooo hooo, its been so many years, yet Ill never forgive Brad for kicking Tylo off the show simply because of his incompetant writing skills. The revival of Taylor later on was a joke, I can completly understand Tylo not wanting to be on the show anymore.
Erica did do wrong trying to get pregnant, going along with Sheila’s plan but that was all towards the end, it was a slip up but it’s not like her, Sheila did raise her well, her personality and her part in all of this don’t match how she gets treated and blamed by everyone (not that it’s their fault) but it really sucks for her, she’s no innocent but she doesn’t deserve all of this

by far the most dramatic scene in B&B history
