I’m a Christian but always have and always will love Yusef/Cat. I grew up with his music. I am glad he has found God through Islam.I think when he first converted he has admitted that he got led into extreme views hence the quitting music and the Rushdie thing on TV. It’s brilliant that God led Yusef’s son Yoriyos to pursuade him to play again and now I think he is one of Islam’s greatest ambassadors with a positive message. He combines his faith and music well. I worked in Egypt for a while and one of my friends wanted to learn guitar but his parents said it was Haram. I told him to tell them about Yusef Islam! Most of his fans have backed him on his return and he has got new ones as well. I get tearful now when he plays as I know how difficult it was to make the comeback and play/record again. I think the media was out to play on peoples’ prejudices when he converted but he has countered that brilliantly

Not only did He perform miracles, but so many others attested to His divinity before He had performed any miracles. History shows us the books of the Bible were changed, written in different languages than what Jesus spoke... 4 gospels that say different things and cannot agree on the same story... i was able to find 100s of contradictions in the bible with one night of research when i was 13 i spent months looking for the same in the Quran and eventually only found verses directly asking me if I wanted to spend the rest of my life trying to prove the word of God wrong.

@Niall Mccarthy The punishment is for keeping the morality of a soceity and it requires to take the punishment four trusworthy witnesses who saw when the act was happening with their own eyes or the person admitted himself that he did the act of adultery. So if there is no four witneses and the person did not admitt himself then there is no punishment to be taken and anyone who accuse any other person that he/she is adulterer without having four witneses should get lashed as it mentioned in the quran "And those who accuse chaste women and then do not produce four witnesses - lash them with eighty lashes and do not accept from them testimony ever after. And those are the defiantly disobedient," quran 24:4 "Why did they [who slandered] not produce for it four witnesses? And when they do not produce the witnesses, then it is they, in the sight of Allah, who are the liars." Quran 24:13 But there is only one exception and that is when a person saw his wife or her husband doing adultery and Allah told us in the quran what we do in that case "And those who accuse their wives [of adultery] and have no witnesses except themselves - then the witness of one of them [shall be] four testimonies [swearing] by Allah that indeed, he is of the truthful." Quran 24:6 "And the fifth [oath will be] that the curse of Allah be upon him if he should be among the liars." Quran 24:7 "But it will prevent punishment from her if she gives four testimonies [swearing] by Allah that indeed, he is of the liars." Quran 24:8 "And the fifth [oath will be] that the wrath of Allah be upon her if he was of the truthful." Quran 24:9 Finally as u can see that the punishment for adultery requires four witneses, therefore this clearly shows us that the act was done in public so to keep the morality of a society, those who do adultery in public should be stoned to death.

I hope everybody is aware of the irony that Yusuf is in effect complaining about being censored. This from a man who called for the death of author Salman Rushdie for publishing a novel. I have a feeling that we all must become one to solve the mysteries that are our humanity. We will venture into the stars and I believe take all that is human with us - The Torah reads or sounds to me like a song - Praise the Lord The Bible New Testament - Christian versions like a tragedy or drama - Heart wrenching The Quran - is presented in the original like poetry. It is difficult to articulate. The belief systems or teaching for Buddhism and many more will go with us - all together into the future - to the stars. Either this or we do not go. The words read to me like coordinates on a star map, directions for somewhere out in the stars. Actually in the Arabic of the Qur'an it would be Ahad. Nonetheless, they were all books that were revealed by Allah. Which is why we regard you as people of the book. And we as Muslims believe that you at one point the Jews were actually the Muslims on this earth. Don't believe the media lies about Islam hating Jews. Islam doesn't hate Jews, but there are people who do. And I don't think that Judaism hates Islam either.

I’m a Christian but always have and always will love Yusef/Cat. I grew up with his music. I am glad he has found God through Islam.I think when he first converted he has admitted that he got led into extreme views hence the quitting music and the Rushdie thing on TV. It’s brilliant that God led Yusef’s son Yoriyos to pursuade him to play again and now I think he is one of Islam’s greatest ambassadors with a positive message. He combines his faith and music well. I worked in Egypt for a while and one of my friends wanted to learn guitar but his parents said it was Haram. I told him to tell them about Yusef Islam! Most of his fans have backed him on his return and he has got new ones as well. I get tearful now when he plays as I know how difficult it was to make the comeback and play/record again. The punishment is for keeping the morality of a soceity and it requires to take the punishment four trusworthy witnesses who saw when the act was happening with their own eyes or the person admitted himself that he did the act of adultery. So if there is no four witneses and the person did not admitt himself then there is no punishment to be taken and anyone who accuse any other person that he/she is adulterer without having four witneses should get lashed as it mentioned in the quran
"And those who accuse chaste women and then do not produce four witnesses - lash them with eighty lashes and do not accept from them testimony ever after. And those are the defiantly disobedient," quran 24:4
"Why did they [who slandered] not produce for it four witnesses? And when they do not produce the witnesses, then it is they, in the sight of Allah, who are the liars." Quran 24:13
But there is only one exception and that is when a person saw his wife or her husband doing adultery and Allah told us in the quran what we do in that case
"And those who accuse their wives [of adultery] and have no witnesses except themselves - then the witness of one of them [shall be] four testimonies [swearing] by Allah that indeed, he is of the truthful." Quran 24:6
"And the fifth [oath will be] that the curse of Allah be upon him if he should be among the liars." Quran 24:7
"But it will prevent punishment from her if she gives four testimonies [swearing] by Allah that indeed, he is of the liars." Quran 24:8
"And the fifth [oath will be] that the wrath of Allah be upon her if he was of the truthful." Quran 24:9
Finally as u can see that the punishment for adultery requires four witneses, therefore this clearly shows us that the act was done in public so to keep the morality of a society, those who do adultery in public should be stoned to death.

The old Testament in Hebrew s called "Qara" , "Miqra" which is same as "Quran"
King James translated Hebrew word "Muslim" to "Perfect" although in the Bible some Christian scholars translate it to "submission to G-d".
The Hebrew word "Islam" , "Muslim", "Shalom", Salem are from the same root.
P.S I have tried to get that book but it seems out of print. Second hand copies are very expensive :(

When I first started here on RUclips about three years ago I was queried by someone with what I think were passages from the Koran. The words read to me like coordinates on a star map, directions for somewhere out in the stars. I still wonder about it - We had a conversation for several days -- In your reading, study and prayers keep an eye open - idk for passages that look like directions or a map - My feeling is that the information was written many many years ago but would remain valid today. The stars move over time, or we move, but this offer (my interpretation) would should remain valid throughout time. I cannot tell you if it is where we come from or where we are expected/invited/ ... going. I mention it in passing

He said G-d of the Bible is "One" . In Hebrew it is the word "Echad"(One) . It is used in "Shema Isreal" , Arabic and Hebrew have many common words. Quran also use the same word "Ehad" to say that the G-d is "one". "Muslim" is also a Hebrew word in the Bible. It has the same meaning and spelling.
Actually in the Arabic of the Qur'an it would be Ahad. Nonetheless, they were all books that were revealed by Allah. Which is why we regard you as people of the book. And we as Muslims believe that you at one point the Jews were actually the Muslims on this earth. Don't believe the media lies about Islam hating Jews. All of the Prophets of the Bible were "Muslim" according to the Bible. The word Christianity is not in the whole Bible. Many of the Prophets of the Bible were Jews including Jesus (PBUH). The word "Judaism" is also not in the Bible because Jews were "Nation" not "Religion". Tell me what Hebrew word from the Bible translates to "Religion"?

True. I was raised in an evangelical family anf grew up hearing music in church. I felt God the first time when he called me out and told me to worship him and believe in him alone and that was when I knew joy. Knowing God made me happy and I left everything that took away from God, remember Iblis/Shaitan and music and that is why I burnt ALL my music to follow the God in heaven. Salaam dear
