It is "a lot" not one word! No, we fully understood that at the time this aired on tv, since and now. I have zero idea why you think anyone would miss the point of this scene or episode in general! It was an obvious message of this episode and a running theme in the show the more she got to actually know Jordan. It gave his character depth that he wouldn't have had if he was just hot, cocky and confident and good at everything. Nobody is really and this show made a point of making very real and relatable characters. That is what made it so good compared to other shows.
