    That’s awesome. I gotta try something like that. We do some ice camping, and use the foam snap together “floors,” but they get wet and don’t cover everything. The hinged floor, hole covers, and then skid it out - that’s a great idea.

      What kind of stove is that?!

    • @maggpie5552
      @maggpie5552 11 месяцев назад +1

      I have a russian bear market wood stove. The "baffle/plate" inside the stove is in a different position than all others I've seen. The sparks have to travel farther to get to the stove pipe initially before being able to travel up the pipe and out the top (to burn the tent)...even with out a spark arrestor. I do use a spark arrestor, but even with out I have had no problems. It is a bit pricy, but worth the price when using an expensive hot tent. I hope this helps. I'm not sure about the name of that metal plate inside the stove, but, it is very effective. Best of luck. @@staggontheline

    • @staggontheline
      @staggontheline  11 месяцев назад

      Haha my last stove was 1500$ for the whole oven set up so I’m no stranger to expensive stoves, I’m actually just learned that they have a secondary combustion chamber for my stove which also double as a cook top, so I think we’re gunna try that before I invest in a whole new stove haha

    • @maggpie5552
      @maggpie5552 11 месяцев назад +1

      No problem. I have the RBM caminus? S stove. I have seen stoves with water heater attachemnts and ovens that hook on to the stove's pipe! Quite extrodinary! And they both work well. For baking controling the firebox wood helps maintain a good cake baking temp.! Good day to ya, and happy camping/fishing.@@staggontheline

      Hmm weird mine is the medium stove and it solved it but you would have a 3” stove pipe that might be it. They do make a secondary burn chamber for the large ones that might do it. Need to get the exhaust as hot as possible to solve the spark problem then they just burn up. I just put a stove jack in my Eskimo can’t wait for ice! Great setup with the floor was thinking of doing something along the same line.
