  • NBC Baseball Night in America original Broadcast as Bob Murphy and Rick Cerone are the again the broadcast booth live from Shea Stadium. Recorded and Digitalized off some pre recorded VHS tapes which were converted to DVD through a DVD burner (2002) and has been recently restored/cleaned up making its debut on my Phenia films MLB archival page here on RUclips.
Mike Mimbs starting pitcher for Philadelphia and rookie pitcher Jason Isringhausen gets the start for the Mets as the 1995 MLB season begins to take shape for the post season ahead.
Todd Hundley hits his 15th HR of the season in the 6th inning off Phillies reliever Russ Springer a two run HR proved to be the game winner as Hundley goes 3 for 3 with a walk and a run scored as Jason Isringhausen has great control in this game, winning his 7th game of the season (7-2) pitching 7.1 innings allowing only 1 run despite giving up 13 Phillies hits while striking out 6 and walking none. Former Met and Phillies 1B Gregg Jeffries goes 4 for 5 for the Phillies in the losing the effort.
John Franco earns his 24th save of the '95 season as Phillies starter Mike Mimbs takes the loss (8-6) the last game of 1995 in the Phenia Film MLB game archives other than post season

WCAU-TV, where this was taped from, replaced KYW-TV as Philly's NBC station less than a week before this game.

I am on a pursuit to find footage of every Phillies game ever broadcast on tv. Clips like this are invaluable on my journey. Thank you. If anyone reading this has a channel or trove of Phillies footage please let me know

For “Baseball Night in America” in 1994 and 1995, Murphy and a few other local broadcasters contributed when they never did to any other national event.

OK, how short is Rick Cerone? Bob Murphy was not tall even when he was young, and he was no longer young here, and Cerone looks like he's standing in a ditch next to Murph.
