  • Follow the steps below to clean your receiver-in-the-canal (RIC) style hearing aid.
    - Gently brush the hearing aid to remove any debris
    - Use your thumbs to gently massage the dome tip to push out any stubborn material
    - Wipe down the entire hearing aid gently with a soft cloth
    - Replace the dome as needed when it becomes worn or misshapen or if there is a buildup or blockage that can’t be removed.

Hydrogen peroxide is a powerful cleaning agent for ear wax. Maybe we should clean the eaw wax filter(small white plastic with tiny holes) by soaking it in hydrogen peroxide for a minute and put back into the receiver. Any suggetions?

What if you remove the wax guard to replace it and it looks like there is debris inside?

My wife creates an excessive amount of ear wax, and has profound hearing loss. I can't find an air vent, and there's no rubber dome to remove. Replacing the wax trap was the first thing I tried. The ear molds are not removable, you need a special tool, the receiver looks like it is inside the mold itself. I tried to fix it myself, she ended up needing a new ear mold. The audiologist she went to retired, and closed his office. We went to several audiologists, non of them will even attempt to clean or repair them. We can't afford the ~$4,000 to replace them, they're rechargeable. What's going on? HELP! I was hoping you would show how to remove the receiver

I am amazed that they would use a speaker with such low voice quality and clarity. Sound is poor, editing poor. Shame on you!
