Not surprising its dead out there there has been 10 eu supertrawlers hitting all the southern coast now for 2 weeks atleast, record numbers of dolphins been washed up aswell.

bristol channel would have been far better this of year by far, launching from minehead or watchet, their channels for cod run close to the shoreline only 300 - 500 meters out, i used to have a boat there, huge smoothies in the summer
Back in the day, early 2000’s ... going out with Kev Smith (RIP) from Ship Pier, punching down off the North Kent coast for Rays and Hounds, or mid week short sessions in the River, enjoyable days....legend was Kev. 👌🏼
There’s plenty fish down in Dover straight even beach fishing sandown castle deal Kent it’s just been a slack patch it would be nice to see you boys fishing of Sandown castle
@@martinwatson1984 not any more , There’s bass on the wrecks, COD on rough ground , or in the depths of the ridge over the French side, but the glory days of inshore codding have long gone it’s the big trawlers, and climate change the main culprits ,mainly trawlers and nets the channel is only small and not big enough for everyone, what it needs is a total ban on all netting and trawling boats for 5 years and let the sea recoup anglers don’t damage the ocean it’s the big boats, and let the gov subsidise there income through other ways that’s the only way to u turn the decline of fish stocks.
