I noticed that when I play defect, in the early game sometimes my opening hand will have a dualcast and no ways to channel orbs, and I usually play the dualcast, thinking that I'd rather lose my lightning for 16 damage rather than have it deal 3 damage a turn, taking 6 turns to catch up to the dualcast's damage. But it seems like you tend to keep the orb instead, is there a particular reason?
