      @@joycenthoba8541firstly, I just need to say I'm not a fan of the DNA either because some things on their manifesto are not in line with my beliefs, but from an administrative point of view, and from handling/pushing down on corruption, they are pretty good. if you don't want to vote DA, then vote for one of the parties who are part of the "moonshot pact" with the DA to oust the ANC, and who aren't known to abandon the DA for mayoral chains and high positions and the opportunity to loot.
      Unfortunately the DA are the only ones with experience in running an entire province (western Cape for many years). Remember, the ANC do not want the DA to be seen to do a good job. EFF, COPE, ACTION SA, AIC, etc. get in bed with the party that will give them what they want, eg. High position, mayoral chains, etc. Every time a mayor is thrown out, it causes chaos and the efforts to make a mayor look bad are worthy of mission impossible music.
      We had water cuts before Tanya Campbell was voted out of ekurhuleni.. On the day she was voted out, the reservoirs started filling again and we haven't had a problem since. No vandalism of pipes and only one outage at Rand Water either since she was ousted. We had also haven't had a problem with rubbish collection since ANC/AIC came in. Nothing changed in the fleet - the coalition didn't buy more rubbish trucks in a day (over and above what the DA invested in). It just came right. Most likely because the ANC supporters within the service delivery sector want ANC leadership no matter how bad the leadership looks because they get something out of it. ANC/EFF want to loot. DA doesn't allow everyone's hands in the till. So the other parties want them out. It's very easy to take note of these things.

    What weapons would S. Africa be supplying Russia? The US should disclose what weapons or munitions as there is little equipment compatibility between the South African defence industry and Russia, and no South African weapons have been found on the Ukrainian battlefield.
    This is typical of US accusations with unrevealed evidence and without basis, and is intended to punish South Africa for having a naval exercise with Russia and China.
    He who accuses must prove or at least provide some evidence that underpins the accusation, and the only evidence that the US is offering is the assurance of the US ambassador that he is willing to bet his life on it. If that is so reveal the evidence that forms the basis of your accusation rather than assertions backed only by careless meaningless bets that no-one is going to counter.
    The intent is to put S. Africa on the defensive in order to reveal the reason for the ships presense in Simonstown. You see your neighbour engaged in what you see as suspicious activity so you concoct an accusation to put him on the defensive to reveal his intent. S. Africa as a sovereign state is entitled to mutual respect from the US.

      Don't know what this has to do with intellect of the public anyway. It has to do with the intellect of the government, those employed at Eskom, those who destroy the country's infrastructure rather than build it up, and those who blindly vote for parties that don't know how to run a province or country... although it's more on the shoulders of those who wouldn't vote for ANC and/or their crony parties but who don't vote at all. It's all about numbers. The election is decided on the votes cast and abstainings don't decrease ANCs pie at all.

    • @c.a.saunders2819
      @c.a.saunders2819 Год назад

      @nikitasaratov687,
      Nikita, it sure is a lot at risk. So is the 1.1 billion dollars of US cash, not humanitarian food aid but financial aid given yearly for decades, and decades.
      China is not going to provide anything except a noose around your necks.
      They proved this today by calling the notes due from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sierra Leone.
      All three nations are now in instant default. The IMF cannot help those nations because the terms of Chinese lending are not permitted to be disclosed.
      Wonder why that might be?
      In our long history of accords and trade friendship the United States has never tried or wanted to occupy South Africa.
      Those defaulting nations I just spoke of,........they all have brand new Chinese owned ports in them.
      I find it sad, worrisome, and a bit comical that so many, " smart ", leaders don't see this.
      It seems the real definition of the Chinese Belt and Road Development Initiative is coming to light.
      The belt is for around your neck, and the road is for the way in. Don't take my word for it.
      As for the Lady R, the United States of America doesn't make callous, careless random statements about such events as what was loaded onto this ship, and taken to Russia.
      We know conclusively what happened or we would not have commented.
      Oh and the whole BRICS organization, notice anything about that roster of membership?
      It made up of mostly, " Strongmen ", leaders that recognize they may or will have to carry on outside of international law in order to facilitate operations not meant to be seen in Sunshine.
      Yet they're all sitting in the United Nations, and are largely signatories to things like maritime law, the respect of territorial waters, shipping certifications and bonding that are designed largely to protect the environment from catastrophe, let alone the workers themselves and the nations they represent.
      Without law and order comes chaos, and devaluation. Does this develop the undeveloped nations?
      Welcome to the third world, things are more difficult there. Be part of the solution or live in the problem.
      Look on the maps, if chaos is blooming, the Russian regime is nearby.
      Nigerian, and Malian mined gold is being ferreted out of those nations by tonnages and cleaned up for deposit in Hong Kong for Russia's funding of the genocidal brutality happening in Ukraine.
      Russia is literally stealing preferable land masses, and mineral wealth, and the seaports from a sovereign nation,.....Ukraine.
      How can that be ok with anyone?
      Oh well Nikita, I chose to respond to your post here because you seemed quite aware, and have good sensibilities about you.
      In reading so many comments here this evening, it seems more than the majority agree with your position.
      I shall hope for the best for you, your family, and the South African people as your government pushes farther away towards the seas of uncertainty.
      Peace be with you, thank you.

    1. Mr Steenhuisen, you need to be careful of how you ask questions because the slightest open door will be taken to avoid answering the question. However, i did not find your speech unpatriotic in the least. You were unfortunately a victim of gaslighting.
    2. President Ramphosa, I can't understand why you had to launch in a whole speech focused on two words of Steenhuisen's speech just to get to the point that "an investigation is underway". You came off as extremely arrogant, and this is not appropriate behaviour for ANY president. To basically accuse Steenhuisen of being unpatriotic is absurd because he cares about possible sanctioning on South Africa by overseas countries because of this whole debacle of South Afric's pally pally relationship with Russia. Just because the axe has not yet fallen doesn't mean it never will.
    The lady who laughed, laughed very inappropriately. I wonder if you would still have laughed had she not. Then again, just like Zuma, you often laugh at very serious questions, including anything on corruption, the Guptas, the ICC, etc.
    I am very disappointed at your behaviour and performance Mr President. You need to seek the Lord and get perspective of you and your party's failings, the wisdom to know what to do to get this country right and the courage to do what is right.
