This show will live inside my brain and heart for my entire life. I grew up watching this. The "lady in red" was always my favourite. No wonder I turned out so saucy 😅 low key need her costume though...
Her hair is doing just as much of a dance as she is! I read an interview with her where she said that she never had to wear hair pieces. That's all her natural hair!
It amazes me how her hair floats and bounces around so much, only to end up looking absolutely perfect again and again! I have a lot of hair, too, but it would look like a mess after all of that dancing.
@@ForeverMPHNot if you had a lot of hair product in it to keep it in place! Kind of a side note I heard the entire troupe had their hair and makeup done by professionals for this show
I wish that Gillian Norris, Daire Nolan and some others from the original group, would come up with a concept for a new show. Some of them are up in age and don't dance anymore but they could mentor new talent, choreograph, produce and direct a new show. You never lose your talent and skills; I just wish they hadn't faded away after LORD of the Dance and Feet of Flames Hyde Park 😢
Love Gillian Norris. The Origanal FIRE Gypsy!! Shame she and Don both gave Lord of the dance up after feet of flames. She was my favorite dancer and character. I always wanted to dance like her. FIRE!!
Gillian quit Lord of the dance in 2000. She toured with the troupes until then, :) Don did leave a couple months after Feet of Flames, but gillian stayed until 2000.:)
I could put money on it if she was to take this role back it would be like nothing had changed the energy the passion in her dancing I loved dancing to this as a kid I do wish I got put in a dance school for this I learnt so much from watching these videos growing up
I watched this when I was in second grade and as a kid I was in Heaven and not only that but she became my first crush. The way she moved her hair along with her body was so seductive. It was hard to keep my eyes off of her.
You know what sucks? Gillian left the show in, I think, 2001 and started a singing career. The new Temptress doesn't get the roll Gillian left behind right. I'd chose Gillian over her replacements any day!
Rumor has it Gillian hated both the costume and the choreography for this dance. XD Pity because 10 years ago when I was 17 I was the biggest fangirl of all time. I practiced all the moves by watching her on repeat until I could do it myself and dance around to the soundtrack. I had this silly dream to be her on that stage. :P
Marysia Kosowski Coming from a dancer, it does get a bit stupid with some of the coustumes the cheographers make you wear. There should be a line between design from the cheographer and comfortability from the dancer. i like the dance, but like her i think the costume is annoying.
Princess Fluffybottom Gillian was the Pringle Morrighan. This stage show is still running today and the costumes get more and more racy. The dancer that plays Morrighan right now also wears an even tighter cat suit, all in latex and sequins, with blank ‘hand prints’ in the boob area! These costumes compared to today’s were much more less ‘racy’. The dancer right now dance in a bra top and knickers and nothing else. I have to agree and say that the show now is highly sexualised and not a patch on the original.
I also heard on another comment that Gillian hated the choreography for this dance and Gypsy which I don't understand why because she did a fantastic job. She was tailored made for this. Does anybody have an explanation as to why Gillian hated the choreography so much?
When she came out in the red sequence dress and danced it was like "WOW" Last I heard she has her own studio or she's teaching Irish dancing to other students.
That's where I lost respect for him. But then his first wife reportedly divorced him over his "issues" with women. If you notice, every show from here to the present, has had more scantily clad dancers and the performances themselves, were embarrassing and hard to watch. Michael made the mistake that a lot of entertainment types do, and that is thinking that injecting sexual images and dress into a production, is going to bring it higher ratings and rave reviews; it does not, it cheapens it and takes away the beauty and value of what it once was. Our world is so OVER SEXUALIZED as it is. I watch these shows as a way to mentally escape from the stress of life, I don't want to see a strip dance. The women are beautiful but these shows were supposed to be about Irish dancing. I still have Riverdance with Jean Butler and Colin Dunne on my playlist and it's pure joy and fun. No one is dressed inappropriately, they all appear to be having fun and by the end of the show, you feel like you were taken on a wonderful journey that you wish didn't have to end. I felt that way about Lord of the Dance and in some respects with Hyde Park, but over time, Michael got away from the vision of Ireland and it's wonderful music and dance culture.and that is truly sad.😢😢😢.
Gostaria de deixar minha admiração por vocês. Estudo música e percussão e é fantástico o show de vocês. Sem contar o balé e o sapateado. Obrigada e felicidades!👍
@Abigail smith thanks! I liked her high jumps. She was a very good dancer. But she's left the show very soon. She was very young, and I think she wanted too much money. And I'm sure, that the beauty salon isn't better than the show was. You know, she runs a beauty shop in Eire, somewhere in the South.
The song is ‘Fiery Nights’ by Roman Harriman. The main sound is saxophone. You can buy the album on iTunes and online. ‘Lord of the Dance, Feet of Flames’.
Beautiful wish I dance like the lead girl!!Okay I swear one of the community's looks like the one from Celtic Woman. Anybody agree or am I just imagining it?
No, she didn't. Gillian Norris hated the chorography for this, as Michael Flatley said on the Making of Feet of Flames on the DVD, but she's able to cover the stage so "dramatically".

love the pairing of the Morrigan with Don Dorcha, wish their dance was a bit longer
Me too!
Totally agree.

Fiery Nights has the best music of the whole show!
Gillian norris outstanding yet again

I was there! It was fab!

One word, seductive!

she is so lovely
me, my mates and our girlfriends love doing this dance 4 the little kids and we've only been doing it for 5 months

And what would that be?
She also stated that she despised the sexualization of it paired with the catsuit. She said she was embarassed to be seen in it
+ScherazadezGypsy yet she rocked it though.
When she came out in the red sequence dress and danced it was like "WOW" Last I heard she has her own studio or she's teaching Irish dancing to other students.
Tiffany Days omg thats amazing, i didnt know that yet ^^
And yes, Michael did just cheekily pinch her bottom!

Gillian is so seductive. ❤❤
I like the other outfit she did this in, the dress one. But always lovely, of course .
I don't know why but I like the evil guys moch more than the good ones ;D
Adrian D its because they know how to bring Fire to the stage
That's because Daire Nolan was A LOT better looking than Michael... At least in my opinion.
Feet of Flames from the Route of Kings: Hyde Park / Fiery Nights by Gillian Norris as Morrighan, The Temptress
She's the most beautiful woman on this Planet.
Still loving this track and video 2023, very sexy too ❤Welsh fan 🏴
Красивая женщина!
shows the "bad guys" aren't really bad at all.
cool
WOW ! Need i say more ?

OMG, these women are so gorgeous! Wolfsky9
The lord is sooooooooooooooooooooo smexy!!
Jill never liked this catsuit, or jumper, or I don't know how to call it.

One of the violinists is Máiréad Nesbitt, the violinist from Celtic Woman.
She didn't like this cat suit. I like those nice high jumps. (I mean Jill Norris)
What was her name?
Gillian Norris
Did he pinch her bottom?
dad
She's never liked this red cat suit.
No, she didn't. Gillian Norris hated the chorography for this, as Michael Flatley said on the Making of Feet of Flames on the DVD, but she's able to cover the stage so "dramatically".
The show "Ragus" was on YT. Can I see her in it? Very bad vid, (the quality of the pic). The faces aren't recognizeable.
Sarah Patterson And she hated the costume. Comming from a dancer i can relate to some of the stupid costumes they make you wear.
istvan hutter pink cat suit
I love the dance :D But that one suit.... Nope... I am sorry, it just don't fit...
cecilie meier olsen oh, it fits Gillian very well. Catsuits are so comfortable. The costume was also picked because it accentuates the movements.
Willow Madhuri Dixit you seem confused lmao they mean it doesn’t fit the style and show, not that it doesn’t fit her
thats not her !!!
Michelle Nikolova yes it is!
😂
No, They’re bad. It just humanizes them more.
