I have been a teacher for over 13 years and always appreciate when substitutes leave detailed notes and all of the extra things that you do. Thank you. Love the subbing content.
@@tonymeck-lj8rv Lots of questions! No, I don’t do any punishments. If they’re really not listening then I will ask for help from other teachers or the principal. I don’t treat boys differently and set the same expectations and rules for all students. That’s why I leave a detailed note for the teacher so that when they come back they know how their students were behaving!
Girl, when I watched that I wouldn’t never believed you were a sub. It feels like you’re a seasoned teacher. Behavior management is the foundation for a good school day for me. kids will test your boundaries. Good for you for not taking it. 👍🏻😤
I loved every bit of this video. I plan on subbing this fall and your video was very helpful. Videoing your day really provides a perspective on the day of a substitute teacher. This has really shed some light on what to expect. Thanks so much!
I really appreciated this video!! I'm looking at applying to a substitute teacher and I'm also young so I wasn't sure if it would be a good idea but you're video helped me so much. Also, you seem really nice and you were able to maintain control of the classroom well. Thank you!
@@abigailmcneal0703 I’m glad my video help you out! There are lots of difficulties, but as long as you stay firm with your boundaries, and let the kids know, it’ll make things much easier! Also don’t let a bad class or day get to you and just shake it off ~
As someone who has done it for 10 years. I'd recommend choosing pre-k -1st grade. You will have major behavior issues the higher grade level you chose. Good luck!

@@SongsbyCharleneApril hmm… I think I prefer grade 3/4! I find that kids in grades 5 and up have attitude problems and kids below grade 3 are hard to reason with 😂
@@SongsbyCharleneApril No! I’m only qualified to teach K-6, but the oldest I’ve supplied for is grade 8. I’ve heard some mixed things about high school… but I don’t think I have the patience to teach teens 😅
