Really interesting and informative video, thank you (diolch). The best news is that "now count" was only about 8. Which is great. Come on Ian, you can do it. Banish the word and make your narrative flow ! Looking forward to your next one.

I think that amp is also an lna so it probably has a stronger signal (lna) coming into the chip in addition to the added power (pa) going out. You might also mention that the only other one, that I know of, that has a pa/lna is the matek rx's with a telemetry of 20 or 23dbm I think. ExLRS 2.0 is out already.

I had mine bound, but next power up I have a solid blue light and no bind. Won’t go into bind mode either. Any suggestions ?!

Excellent review! Just curious, does the crossfire nano receiver have amplifier for telemetry?

      no

i’m not sure what the telemetry power is on tbs nano or any others honestly… but has anyone actually lost telemetry? I haven’t ever lost telemetry, I have flown out to fail safe and lost telemetry of course. I have some mavlink telemetry radios, and I can’t see any info about output power on those.

@@nikhayes3396 Even chinese radio mavlink telemetry is 500mw each way. a properly set up crossfire system for long range (ie those 100km tests) will lose telemetry far before that (I've heard 20km).

@@nikhayes3396 for crossfire, the tx->rx and rx->tx power levels are not symmetric, telemetry usually lost at around 1km, but control link can go much further.

Hi Mad, I saw the black mark under your thumbnail on what I think is your left hand.
I know bruises are quite common in the maker community but you may wish to get it checked out by a doctor as it could be a melanoma or other skin cancer.

It was an injury I did to my self.. It’s actually a hole. I ended up stabbing my self though the thumb nail with a needle tip soldering iron. The I just had now healed but it’s remanence is working it’s way down now.
I really appreciate the heads up, i

@@sarahdaviscc it hurt like hell lol but it was self inflicted. The actual injury has healed it’s just the hole in the nail working it’s way down now. It was a trip to A&E and a tetanus booster as it was rusty tip too but all good.
