With Eltharion, and any high elf, don't forget to fight as many battles as possible in the channelling stance, the whatever-of-Lillith one, for +20% xp.

I was able to keep both provinces and have 20,000+ by turn 3 no mods
(There was a ship wreck with a 20,000 battle next to the starting location

I like moving what is your Ammon army in the sea and their army should attack you. Destroy it and then take the settlement

His Talisman of Hoeth quest battle is bugged, at least for me; the reinforcements show up and just sit at the edge of the map. Tried it twice, basically had to fend off all the enemies without the help. The idea is that reinforcements fly in to slow down the flanking coming from the left by the 3rd enemy army. Without that the battle is a pain in the butt. I would also caution people when fighting overwhelming infantry numbers as well. In the last couple of months I noticed the AI is much better at breaking through lines using sheer infantry numbers, the Greenskins love to squeeze through defensive lines and engage your missile units. Holding near 20 melee units with your 5 melee units + lord + hero in that 14-unit Eltharion army might be tricky on the actual battlefield.
Not sure what autoresolve mods do, but without those the initial battles in this campaign are much more punishing in autoresolve and playing them manually is a must. No way in hell is one able to autoresolve (legendary on VH battles + maxed AI stat modifier) the first battle on Ulthuan, autoresolve Tralinia and then go on to autoresolve Elessaeli while losing only one unit in autoresolve. Just tried it, what happens is you get a pyrrhic victory for the first battle and even after taking replenishment as post-battle, you go to Tralinia and you get a close defeat autoresolve. I just got bored of my Eltharion campaign, but I was also not lucky with how things on Ulthuan went, N'Kari did not go for Cothique, but for Alarielle and Tyrion was losing to Noctilus. I saved Alarielle by declaring war on N'Kari, dragging Cothique into it and marching my army to Tor Koruali/Mistnar. Be'lakor was also there invading Mistnar. Goes to show how the first 15 turns can go very differently than in this case you presented. I did not go for Wurrzag first, I cleaned up the initial enemy, used some of my influence to drop relations between Skarbrand and Wurrzag, which caused them to go to war super quickly so I quickly dismantled Wurrzag when his focus was split. I was a bit surprised how effective it was to use influence for creating rifts between factions.

Yeah without AR mods you need to fight manually all the battles here.
I skip that for the sake of the vid: They are winnable after all.

your start was found lacking way back in wh2 - and with skarbrand there it has become downright bad
in yvress - fight the 1st battle so you don't take casualties - auto resolve the city... this is important to take damage tthere so the orc army moves north - hire a new lord in the capitol, keep it outside the city - hire archers.....
this will give you the opportunity to kill the south orc army on turn 2
with eltharion.... don't attack that city, sail north and take the next port city
after that there is a bunch of shit to keep in mind the 1st 5turns.... but that is the start of the optimal start.

Most of what you said makes sense, don't see why you should bother wasting time sailing north though, that extra turn of recruiting helps.

If the orc army in Yvresse does not go north (because you didn't take enough damage, apparently), It also works beautifully to march your army past the capitol in south Yvresse.
They'll attack you and you can wipe them out, and also get the settlement closest to Tyrion first, moving your way back up. In that way, having to besiege that capitol because, well, you have no siege attacker, is not an issue because it's the last region.

@@Costin_Gaming because taking the 1st city means you'll be stuck in a war with both bloody hands from the north and skarbrand from the south - if you instead sail north to the next city you start by taking out the bloody hands while skarbrand takes out topknots
