everyone told me when I was just starting this show that Abed would be my favorite character but it's not even close.. jim rash put a smile on my face for every scene he was in, which was literally more valuable than gold to a depressed recently broken up introvert like me

Aside from the Payday rap, which is clearly the funniest Dean moment in the show, I love the Good news/bad news because he comes back for his cane and goes "come on Craig. Get your life together." makes me laugh every time.

I re-watched the episode the other day. What's best is that he comes back to the study group and he says something like "people loved my outfit in the bank. They asked me all kinds of questions!"
The Dean is so much more than a craig-ular guy. He is a real Deanius. He makes new versions of 80s classics, raps and even has french thoughts

@@jessm229 not quite. There’s an end credits bit with Troy and Abed where they pull the fire alarm to get out of a test. But when they pull it, it just rips off the wall. They tell the dean to cancel school or they’ll tell everyone. He agrees, and then sticks the fake fire alarm back on the wall. 😂

I'm shocked we didn't have at least an episode where the Dean was replaced and he became the theater teacher for a bit. I guess I just want to see acolytes of the dean running around being extra.
I always theorized that he wasn't actually an accredited Dean for the college, his name was just Dean Craig Pelton, and there happened to have been a new Dean named regular Craig Pelton who got into a car accident or something and never showed up. Someone went "Oh are you the new Dean? Dean Pelton?" And he went "wow! Everyone here is so friendly!" And that was that.
