    The Impala was actually built from 1958 to 1985, and was brought back again from 1994 to 1996 (as the Impala SS), and was returned again from 2000 until 2020. The Chevrolet Impala was originally discontinued in 1985, but was brought back again in 1994 and was built until 1996, and was brought back again in 2000, and was permanently discontinued in 2020. The cars between 1986 and 1993 are all part of the Caprice models, and the 1991-1996 models had some model changes in them, and the 4th generation Caprice was discontinued after 1996, so there were no 1997 or 1998 models.

      @jamesdelk8926 2 года назад

      And yes and some even became eventual caprices i tried to look up 1961 Caprice or 58 nothing I'm beginning to think Impala was originally the becoming Caprice or original Caprice but called Impala before maybe becoming different name and becoming Caprice and then built them separately but same material though afterward before that it was called dank Impala meaning it was pushing in to becoming new name Caprice because all tail lights were all red instead of white in middle meaning evolving to Caprice

    • @jamesdelk8926
      @jamesdelk8926 2 года назад

      But they will come back though Caprice was gone for a while too cause crown Vic crowded them out but came back in 2014 or 16 and Impala died but not die but dormant till SUVs are reduced over time they making impalas but look like today's caprices but caprices are too together they are dormant hybernating now till SUVs are played out but still around but not as wide spread most dormant

    • @jamesdelk8926
      @jamesdelk8926 2 года назад

      Till they are reduced or SUVs become too old but civilian impalas look like caprices and Malibu's since they both look alike now but Caprice now are Australia cars we don't see them as civilian cars yet only police but scarce and dormant cause of SUVs

      The 1999-2013 models desing looked so generic, looked like korean cars of the time. No wonder why SUVs took over.

    beautiful and memorable cars for the first four years, then it's like the designers gave up and phoned it in for the rest of the model's history.

    The 2006 change is so depressing. You can see the final nail in the coffin for car design - completely and totally generic, unrecognizable, exactly the same as every single other sedan on the road

    I've been able to upgrade from a 63 impala to a 63 SS impala. I didn't thing there was a big difference until I owned one. I was just happy to own an impala. Now I can't go back. Obviously the next step up is the convertible.

    It stopped at 85 I think
    Brought back 94
    There were some rare versions that were actually 93
    But for me idk maybe it's different in other countries
    The Gulf versions are different
