Each Chicago rig has an apparatus number. "C" designates an ambulance, and 064 is the sequential rig number. (C064, C065, etc.)

how can u not like that lightbar??? it has total 360 coverage and great intersection warning..i agree it looks better when on a command SUV , but still a hell of a lightbar and cool flash pattern.

I still stand by my word... I am in chicago at least once a month or so and actually what gets me to pull over aint the lights...its that damn Q siren on such a small vehicle such as an ambo that is effective in traffic clearance. It wuld be sweet if the pattern on that bar was the pattern that shows when the bar is activated, wuld look better i think

I would have to agree. That light bar is crap. Flash pattern is cool but overall effectiveness sucks. They should've just went with the Texas DPS or FDNY Ambulance light bar (they're the same).

Hey no offense but we don't care what you think of how our EMS vehicles look, we have a thing called tradition, our vehicles look and operate just fine, an "ugly" EMS vehicle has no effect on the outcome of responding to a call fyi.
