If my father was living he would be so proud of the modern day military the Welsh Guards, served with the guards in WW2
How wonderful
Alot of great tunes being played takes me back to the 80's when I served fantastic 💂♂️💂♂️💂♂️
Thank you for your wonderful stream today from Woolwich and for Armed Forces Day
Great band's marching. I was at Woolwich barracks in summer of 1980s remember walking up the hill from Woolwich arsenal train station. Station. How so much has changed
Good job all. Too bad the marching soldiers were so far behind. Have a wonderful day and tks to all who serve.
cracking video as always, the welsh guards smashing out the park as usual, always the best from the british army!
A very good performance with high precision. Thank you .
Always brings back memories of hours drilling around the square at Pirbright! With the dubious privilege of being the right marker, as the tallest, and getting a flea in my ear from the Colour Sergeant whenever I got us out of position 😂 They were good old days, really!
When did you serve I was in the Scots Guards 💂♀️💂♂️💂♂️
@@garethutting6328 '81-'84! Then left and joined the Met Police for my sins, but then made a much better move to the HK Police for a decade until the handover in 1997!
@@QuicknStraight we served at the same time.
@@garethutting6328 Did you stay in and make a career of it?
@QuicknStraight no I served 10 years though not a bad stretch
Indeed the Greatest Little Army !!
Fabulous 🏴
Really great video thank you. So great to see, such rare details captured in the band as well, stopping and catching up, the little signals about obstacles, and such a lovely day. Where is everybody?? The place is absolutely deserted? In Woolwich?
There were many more people behind the band at the artillery barracks which is out of shot of the camera!
Smashing marching and musicians.
Where in the world are the spectators along the route? Was the event a secret???
Pride was today!
The event was at 0930 in the morning and not very well advertised. As someone who lives in the town I saw no prior advertising of a parade other than an article on the council website. Sad that so few people turned out to watch. Hopefully it will have a far greater digital audience through this video! It has been the first parade in Woolwich since the Royal Artillery disbandment parade 10 years ago in 2014 I am lead to believe!
The London Pride parade was also today although this would have unaffected the amount of possible footfall attending this parade that took place many hours before the pride one even started to assemble. The event in barrack field attracted thousands during the day.
@@MilitaryBandsEverywhere Thank you for your feedback. More than absurd that this event was not publicized.
It seems Woolwich is still anti establishment. What a poor showing of the locals you should be ashamed.
As a veteran of The Life Guards I can’t believe there are not many of the public watching almost deserted surely the local schools could of turned out ?
are they trained musicians befor they join or are they taught music after joining?
Only highly qualified musicians can join the Royal Corps of Army Music.
@@Akagi_KanColle thankyou kindly
I don't know where this is but it looks so depressing, I think everyone is taking medication to forget where they live, grand job by the band but what happened to those who were following
