How interesting to see the Coronation quiche and Victoria sponge! Truly lucky are the guests who will visit you on May 6th! ❤
That all looks lovely Kevin. Here in the UK, we are a bit divided over the inclusion of beans lol. Not a favourite for many. It's so great to see other countries celebrating with us.
It's very exciting. Most of us have never seen a coronation and we do love all of our pomp and traditions lol
This was the first time that I have added beans of any kind to a quiche!
I'm not English and don't live in the UK but I like your tratitions and look forward to the coronation
Many of us in the States follow and love the British Royals. Wish you a lovely Coronation Day!
@@kevinleejacobs1364 healthy but a little odd even for us 🇬🇧 😂
I agree but broad beans I assume are seasonal which is of importance to Charlie. I always take the skin off broad beans though which makes it nicer. As to butter beans, I’m assuming that most people of a certain age despise them in the U.K. as they were a dried unpalatable addition to school dinners. I don’t have them in my house.
Victoria sponge is nicer with whipped cream, fresh strawberries and a bit of strawberry jam in the middle. I never put lemon anywhere near my Vicky sponge. Then a dusting of icing sugar on top.
I like how relaxed you are when you are making those amazing meals.
I love how the Palace Chef has thoughtfully considered time and dietary preferences for this lunch. Nobody will be stuck in the kitchen on the day. As an Englishwoman, living in Ireland, celebrations will be very low key... but I will enjoy, and this will be my lunch too. Thank you Kevin, once again for a lovely video.
You have not missed much. Hardly any buntings up, very quiet here sadly.
The internet does things like that: I am in Brazil, specifically in my kitchen, trying to learn English, the language I love. All in a sudden, it comes your video. I listened to it and felt as if I was (were?) in your kitchen. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity .
Buttercream is coming to be a lost art. You inspire me to bake for the occasion. However,, with a broken femur I'll have to bake a belated one. I wish I had a Berry farm near me. Fresh herbs are rare in these backwoods. Drink a glass of champagne 🍾 for me.
How elegant. I will use your ideas. Coronation quiche w/champagne, and a royal cake w/ a cup of good tea will make this day. And then..some more champagne!
A lunch fit for a King! Broad beans are known as fava beans in my neck of the woods. I am sure they are similar to Lima beans. Queen Victoria would be proud of your sponge cake named in her honour. Thank you Kevin 🙏❤️
Broad beans are fresh beans not dried or canned.
@@lynnbean7200 Or frozen.
@@misselli6903 Yes you're right. In fact, I always use frozen as it's easier to get the skins off lol. I meant fresh as opposed to dried beans.
"I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti."
Broad beans are bigger than fava. They are paler and flat. Lima beans are green.
Looks absolutely delicious and decadent....King George would be proud!!!
Gratitude to the Palace for making the Coronation dish vegetarian allowing more people to enjoy it. It's not difficult to adapt it to vegan. Wonderful inspirational video. Thank you.
You are getting me so excited to have a gathering for the coronation. I was returning from Australia just prior to Queen Elizabeth`s coronation and I was about 6. We were driving through London and I remember all the decorations. We had just disembarked from the ship that brought us back from Sydney Australia to London. The crossing took 4 weeks and this is why I love cruising. Anyway I remember watching the coronation on a little black and white TV at my uncle`s house.
I did make the rhubarb scone recipe that I made into squares because I used frozen rhubarb from last year and it was fantastic, I served it with my homemade Greek yogurt that resembles mascarpone cheese and clotted cream, very well received. I grow Broad beans in my garden but sadly none yet but I can buy canned or use butter beans as you did. I plan to dress up some and wear a Facinator and gather with family. This is such a great occasion for us royalists. I may make some mini Victoria sandwich cakes, maybe some little Cornish pasties, I am so excited!!
Those roses are gorgeous.
Im actually quite touched that you're excited about our coronation. Its a first for most of us. This quiche is a bit leftfield and im not sure i shall make it, im sure yours tastes amazing ❤
Sweet. Beautiful. Well done . Your Coronation luncheon will be a hit .
I was supposed to fly out to London for the coronation but had problems with the airlines. Couldn't reach a live person to help so I missed my flights.
I've written the Palace earlier but didn't hear back.
Lo and behold I received a nice coronation card months later.
I was able to attend most festivities for the late Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee..
I have a growing collection of royal memorabilia 👑 🇺🇸 💕 🇬🇧
Thank you for this Kevin. I’m glad you tried the quiche and it was delicious. I’ve been curious about it and might actually try it now. I’ll for sure make the Queen’s coronation chicken from 1953. I’ve also found a trifle recipe similar to one served at her wedding which seems tastier simpler and less expensive than her jubilee trifle. My tiara and coronation teacup circa 1953 are ready for May 6. Cheers!
Hello Kevin what a wonderful celebration meal x The Coronation is a special time so your meal will be perfect. As always the table setting and the flowers are beautiful and how fitting to have a Victoria sponge for this occasion. I am in the UK and it definitely is a favourite with my family x Thank you so much for sharing your ideas, I will definitely try the Coronation quiche you have made, it looks delicious x
Very Regal and exquisite Coronation Luncheon.
Your talented skills of flower arrangement and table settings look lovely and perfect for A King.
Thank you Kevin for the lard hint.
🕊️♥️👑📯
Quiche and a salad is one of my top favorites. And the Victoria cake puts it over the top.
I like your style ( full cream, double buttercream, extra cheese, no salad, ha-ha!) living life to the fullest, you are a man after my own heart!!🥰
a delicious easy-to-make dessert............. a very elegant cake!!!!!
❤️ Everything is just perfect. You put so much care and love in your videos. I look forward to each one.
Tour de force, Kevin. Love the easy menu. Quiche is delicious!
1st comment yeah. What a great ideas for a nice tea, can't wait to try this quiche. You make it seems effortless , and of course for those of us who love to cook it isn't that hard. I had a pound cake at the ready and made your cake with that. I seem to have extra buttercream as well that's saved from other projects and used my homemade strawberry jam. My elderly friend that I cook for on Sunday's get to try this yummy cake.
Kevin I love this inspiration! Looking forward to the coronation festivities.
It seems to be delicious Kevin. Always so elegant! I love the music. It is royalty! Very appropriate for the occasion. Thanks.
Kevin, what an absolute treat!!! I had read an article including the recipe and voila, you bring it to us with such panache!
I can’t wait till coronation day!!❤
Oh, Kevin, you make life look so fun! Thanks for bringing a smile to my day!
It’s great to see you too, Kevin. ❤ I love all your videos and will certainly try this menu and probably won’t wait until the Coronation. 😊
Good afternoon Kevin 😊 , this Coronation of King Charles meal looks absolutely amazing especially the quiche and the sponge cake dessert. The presentation with the flowers is beautiful very lovely, Thank you 😊❤
Victoria sponge is always a tea dish, never a lunch dish. That would be two flour based course in succession, no pun intended.
Goodness Kevin, if this is a trial run, what a Royal treat is in store for your fortunate guests! When I saw the Coronation Luncheon headline for this show, I immediately envisioned chicken or shrimp crepes or lobster bisque & a flaming dessert, and many tiered stands of tea sandwiches and lovely floral arrangements of course. However, you surprise with restrained elegance. The menu honors England’s King Charles III. He is well known in his passion for organic farming and gardening. and cooking. The vegetable quiche is a perfect, simple yet complex offering., along with the salad of fresh spring green for a May Coronation. And what could honor English tradition more than Queen Victoriia’s favorite cake sandwich. Your bouquet of pink roses looks as though it was gathered from an old traditional English garden on HM’s country estate. God Save the King! Long live King Charles and Queen Camilla! May His reign be blessed with peace and prosperity. Thank you, Kevin I am sure your Coronation Party was a spectacular success 💐
Everything looks delicious. What a great host you are
Love this menu, just going to add your rhubarb scones for tea 🇬🇧
You have inspired me to have my own Coronation party. Splendid as always dear Kevin.
I made the quiche for my husband on Father’s Day! We enjoyed it. I made 2 changes:
1) My “crust” was sliced potatoes precooked for 20’ in a 400*F oven-as I try to avoid flour
2) I used a total of 4 eggs. I guess I like eggs, like you like cheese! 😂
Absolutely fabulous. I will definitely be making all of this! Thank you so much. What a perfect way to celebrate.
Kevin, Thank you for inviting us into your home again; I never take that for granted. My husband and I truly enjoy these episodes. Cannot wait to try the quiche. Have a wonderful day and thanks again. Dee
Perfection as always!
That looks gorgeous. Thank you for sharing.
YUMMY!!!!!! The cake looks divine! 🍰
Lovely and elegant as usual.
Practice Lunch. I've never had beans in a quiche either, but now I want to try. Might be a whole new thing. Southwestern quiche with black beans, New England quiche with navy beans. It's one way to go meatless. The cake looks scrumptious and elegant. You could serve it anytime of year. I want some. Thank you for the great video.♥️🇬🇧👑💂🏻🥂🤴🏼🍰
Oh so perfect! beautiful ❤❤❤
Wish I lived close to you and was invited for coronation celebration- supremely elegant and quite lovely!! 🎉🍾

Quiche is an excellent choice for relaxed entertaining.
Absolutely love your videos Kevin, you bring joy to everyone.
Blessings
What a fun idea . Love your channel.
I love Voctoria Sandwich Cake with the whipped cream. Good quality, fresh whipping cream does not deflate. This cake needs to be assembled shortly before serving. Butter cream is nice but VSC must be with whipped cream. 😉
Your lovely manner and excellent instructions are a real treat, thank you!
Lovely! I am so happy that I found this video! You are an inspiration to me!
This is beautiful Kevin. Everything looks so delicious as always. They you for sharing. God Bless.
Looks so wonderful! You table is just beautiful too!
Just wonderful, Kevin. So looking forward to watching the coronation and will try to emulate your special quiche. Thank you once again.
Love the greens with the roses!
Definitely a lunch fit for a king. Your guests will be blessed.
Looks delicious. Putting beans and peas in quiches is popular in the southern European countries too. In Sicily and Malta it’s common to put green B-road beans and garden peas in quiche. Even ricotta cheese.
Wonderfully British luncheon. Your advance preparations look delicious!
That cake looks amazing! Enjoy the Coronation.
Looks divine!!!!!
I just made the quiche myself. It's delicious! Glad to find your video today.

Kevin a friend taught me to use a chop stick to push the dough into the side of the fluted pan
That quiche looks absolutely delicious. I will definitely try it. Love watching your videos. You are very classy! ❤
Lovely presentation, loved your relaxed and warm smiles. From Brisbane Australia
I changed phones a few months ago and lost your channel. I'm so glad I found you again. You're a lovely person and make some beautiful food.💕
I am thrilled to have just discovered your channel! Your home is stunning! I am so thankful for people like you who are willing and capable of bringing a neglected beauty back to her original glory!
Thank you for this video, I’m very much looking forward to watching the coronation! I hope it not too pared down from the Queens. Pomp and circumstance is one of the things I love about Royalty. I’ll be making this quiche, minus the beans 😂.
Returning now to binge watching all your previous videos!
I love your flower arrangements.
