it's a great car but far from the most beautiful Mercedes.
How much you appreciate a car always depends on so many circumstances that it is impossible to say what is the "most beautiful" Mercedes in general terms but everone here will have his own preference (what's a good thing anyway).

I suspect this may be a body kitted car. The rear sits too low at the back typical of all the other regular E class of that era. The Evo 2 does not suffer that problem due to uprated dampers and springs. But this has the different left & right side mirrors that are correct to the original. The only way to know is the interior gear knob that indicates number in production and the engine bay.

But it's not E class.
I also think that it is not an original. I saw the car at a trade fair last week ... if you look closely, some things are not right ...

That rims are called "Izar" and were in 2 sizes. 7,5 (accesorry) and 8,25 (in EVO II and E500 Limited, and probably in limited edition of SL R129)
