Same thing happened to me...then the style I ended up with was too tight. It lasted 1 night , I was in so much pain... horrible experience. Costly as well.

It was doable! Your hair just needed to be blown dried straight before braiding
I think she was not confident in her work if she will pull it off. But it all works out foe the best. I like the adjustment.
