I would like to say thank you to all the staff at Battersea. We had Olivia (the shar pei) for 14 months before she pass away. She bought so much joy and love to our home, she will be missed more than I can ever say. THANK YOU
My family has been enriched for 7 years since we took in a homeless dog. Were it not for Battersea and your staff we would have missed out on so much laughter and pure joy. It is hard to describe "goodness" but it shines out from the faces of you people who work there. I am aware of the courage you must need to make the unenviable choices when faced with those "no-win" situations. It is my wish that you meet other people who are worthy of your friendship. Go well, Dante
@@alfieparadise1017 I bet FRANKIE enjoys his job being around ALL those LOVELY DOGS & ÇATS I DID'NT realise how difficult it is to ADOPT a DOG , when MY PARENTS were ALIVE we ADOPTED a CAT from the MAYHEW ANIMAL as far as I know they DID'NT GO through FILLING in FORMS before bringing him home ( the SAME DAY ) they DID'NT have to keep going back plus NO ONE had to visit our home. The DOGS WE HAD were'nt adopted , the FIRST was given to us by a neighbour who said she WAS'NT being looked after by PREVIOUS OWNER who had ANOTHER DOG ,apparently he thought MORE about it than the one we ended up with , second one was brought from a BREEDER same with third one , but since losing my parents I have not had one of MY OWN
I have just lost recue dog he was lovely he was 17 years old and a staffi i look forward to getting a new rescue from battersea dogs home again see you soon as I can't get the rehoming dogs up on site by the way his name was rex Harris I got him from battersea London
Battersea dogs home do whatever the can to avoid rehoming a dog. If you haven't got a 6 bedroom home with 40 acre garden, you have kids, you have any other pets (even fish), you are employed or have any other life plans, they won't give you one. They'd sooner put them down then rehouse.

Me and my dad Rehomed a collie German shepherd mix from Battersea called max 7 years ago. Battersea is the best place to Adopt a Dog or a cat.

Have just finished a book written by Melissa wareham she did the job that you did for 15years she then left to go to Australia .
Does Battersea allow you to adopt a dog if you don’t have a garden but are surrounded by woods and lots of walks?
