farken hell, the level of detail in these videos are amazing yet they're still explained in such a simple way. i'm so grateful that your channel came along. many thanks and keep sharing your gifts to the world
@@NinjaNerdOfficial I have a question.. You said that pneumotaxic center is responsible for inhibition of respiration how come it stimulates the DRG to stimulate inspiration in the beginning of this video?? And another one in airway obstruction example for V/Q defects why the A-a gradient is increased? And I wanna thank u for your videos they are so helpful :)
@@NinjaNerdOfficial Hey Ninja nerd. Thanku so much for these detailed lectures. most videos on med topics are short and brief and for people like me who is in search of more detailed but simplified lectures ur channel is a huge help. I want u to know that u are helping a lot of med students and others in a huge way and dat u ll always have our prayers. Just 1 thing i wished u would add on to ur lectures. Since d vids are long and sometimes covered in multpile parts it would be nice to put a timeline and content list in d description so that we know what all is covered.
@@MrSHFA1 hey🤭....so I think the thing about the pneumotaxic center is that it controls switching from inspiration to expiration, without it, all we can do is one long inhalation. Now when it's stimulated, it will cause increased rate of switching from inspiration to expiration hence higher rate of respiration and depth. And isn't that what we all want to keep us happy?🤭🤭
As a person starting to study for their ICU Primaries, I highly value something that clearly and systematically takes me back to the basics I have long forgotten / never managed to learn. Ninja Nerd, this is amazing. I see you made this 4 years ago and it obviously keeps on giving. I hope you feel the thanks from the community for what you have generated here. I will have to look through all your content. Thank you again.
That's one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen someone explaining. The level of details is unreal, so I really appreciate what you did here, Sir. Greetings from Brazil. You helped a lot!
Your videos are really great. It takes a bot of time to get an audience on YT so don't give up. Keep going. Very soon people will discover this hidden gem of a channel :-)
As a first time viewer I was shocked at how well explained and thorough this was. Maybe y'all should try different thumbnails, because I had always assumed that your videos were surface level explanations. Hope that your channel continues to grow, you definitely have a new subscriber!
I just want you to know how much youve helped me understand everything. You are a gem, an angel. Please dont stop sharing your knowledge, you look so happy teaching it :D
+Filip Lebiedzinski Thank you for your kind words!! We are a relatively new channel. We have many more videos to come in the future so if you can share to your friends or peers that would be awesome. Thank you again for the nice comment. Hope the videos help!

Hi :). At 3:00 you said it triggers the pneumotaxic that leads to stimulate DRG >> i think it will trigger apneustic center to increase ventilation 👍
I think too🤔
Actually later on he explained how the ventilation is increased it is because of Nerve innervation to the muscles
