Concreted and constrained water courses are a disaster waiting to happen. Meters from houses and rail tracks- ive never understood it
They where actually built to prevent even worse Floods which happened multiple Times in Zermatt History. Usually they work, but we had apocalyptic Rainfall yesterday in Switzerland. I've never seen such severe Rainfall. I was driving in my Car and it was like being under a strong Waterfall. And it got stronger and stronger and louder. That wasn't normal. Other Regions are actually hit worse than Zermatt with People missing/dead.
